Ambient Series Commercial Licenses

How does this work?

In order to play one of the Ambient DVDs in your business, you simply need to purchase a copy of the DVD as well as a commercial license.

So, if you wish to play Ambient Calm in your spa, you will need to purchase a copy of the Ambient Calm DVD as well as the Ambient Calm Commercial License. The Commercial License will replace the home use license of the DVD.

What rights does the Commercial License give me?

The commercial license gives you the right to display the contents of the DVD to the public. There are no restrictions on the number of times you can display the DVD or to the number of people to whom you can showcase the product.

How much does it cost?

The cost for 1 license is $59.95.

What do I do with the license?

You will receive a printed and signed license agreement from Vat19. This is your proof of license and grants you the rights to play the product in your business. Simply hold on to it for your records.

What restrictions are there?

The license only applies to the DVD for which it is purchased. There are no restrictions on the number of times you can display the DVD or to the number of people to whom you can showcase the product. You cannot, however, make any additional copies of the DVD. If, for instance, you have 3 physical locations, then you will have to purchase 3 DVDs and 3 licenses.

I have 5 physical locations. Do I need to purchase 5 DVDs?

Yes, you will need to purchase 5 DVDs and 5 licenses.

Why can't I use the cheaper version?

Because we're an evil corporation! Muhahaha.

Seriously, though, it's a matter of use. The standard versions of the Ambient DVDs are priced for home use in which one family uses the product. Ostensibly, your business is showcasing the DVD to a much larger audience. However, it is logistically infeasible for us to negotiate a separate deal with every business. So, we've developed this license model that is easy to understand and that is reasonably priced. Since this license has no restrictions on the number of people that can view the program, we believe that the price is quite fair.

What if I lose my DVD? Do I have to pay for the license again?

No, you will simply need to purchase a new copy of the DVD.

I just want a copy for a party I'm having. Do I need this version?

No. These licenses are for business and commercial usage.

How will you know if use the DVD in my business without the license?

We wouldn't. However, if someone were to alert us to an infringement of the license (perhaps an unhappy customer or disgruntled employee), our statutory recourse is $250,000 per incident in which a violation occurred.

How do I receive a copy of the license?

When you purchase the Commercial License, a license agreement will be included with your copy of the DVD. This is all you need to prove that you have the legal right to use the DVD in a business setting.

I work for a non-profit institution. Do I need the commercial edition?

No. Only for-profit businesses need to purchase the Commercial License.

I would like to resell your Ambient DVDs. How do I go about doing this and which version do I need?
