Overview:

The Crystal Weather Station adds a beautiful "wow" factor to any home or office. The laser-engraved, 3D weather icons inside the crystal display are not only beautiful, but they also help you determine the weather forecast at a glance. A red sun means it's time to hit the beach; green rain, grab an umbrella; and blue clouds, leave the frisbee at home.

The black base of the Crystal Weather Station features a large LCD screen which displays the time and the indoor temperature. You can set the display to cycle between modes automatically or you can toggle the mode by waving your hand in front of the base. This is the perfect gift for the man who has everything...unless he already has the Crystal Weather Station. Because if he already has it, then giving it to him would be a little silly.

  • Digital clock with large LCD display
  • Wave your hand in front of the display to change modes

There are two kinds of weather stations: ones that require installing a Doppler radar dish on the outside of your house and ones that tell you just what you need to know: Am I rocking my jeans or my shorts today? The Crystal Weather Station definitely falls into the latter category, albeit with a lot of style.

The Crystal Weather Station features three laser-engraved weather icons: sun, clouds, and raindrops. If an icon is illuminated, that is what you can expect in the 12-24 hour forecast. With a quick glance, you can determine if it's going to be sunny, cloudy, or rainy.

The perfect gift to add that "wow" factor to any room

Many companies trying to sell you stuff will say extreme things like, "The perfect gift for all ages!" Really? For ALL ages? So a week old newborn and a 47-year old will both find this product perfect for their needs? Doubtful. So, in the interests of accuracy and truth-in-advertising, we predict (pun intended) that the Crystal Weather Station is the perfect gift for 53 year olds. Furthermore, it's a great gift for 44 year olds and a darned swell gift for 18-34 olds.

Why is the Crystal Weather Station such a good gift? Because it looks great and it performs a useful function.

A few customer questions we've answered

Q: How does it know what the weather will be? Is there a wi-fi connection or what?
A: The forecasting is done by a barometer inside the Crystal Weather Station that transmits barometric pressure readings to a computer chip also in the unit. The computer chip processes the air pressure readings and uses formulas to decide the weather trends.

Q: Show it the temperature in centigrade grades or only Farenheit?
A: The Crystal Weather Station can show the temperature in both Fahrenheit and Centigrade.

Q: Is the clock atomic?
A: No, the clock in the Crystal Weather Station is not atomic.

Q: What would be the weight of the unit?
A: The total weight of the Crystal Weather Station is just under 2.5 pounds.

Q: If the unit is inside, how does it predict the weather, is there a remote transmitter that is placed outside?
A: No, there is not a remote transmitter to place outside. There is a barometer inside the unit that transmits barometric pressure readings to a computer chip also in the unit. The computer chip processes the air pressure readings to decide whether to display a sun, clouds, or rain drops.
