Does Rules of the Road satisfy the requirements for my state?
No. The Rules of the Road will not satisfy any state requirement. It does not provide a certificate of completion.
So, what's the point, right? If The Rules of the Road doesn't get you "out" of some sort of arbitrary requirement, why should you bother with it?
The answer is that our DVD teaches you more than just how to pass a test. Our goal is to teach teens how to safely drive a car. So, we included much material that is beyond the scope of most online or book courses. For instance, our program includes material on jump starting a car, how to handle skids, and driving in the rain, sleet, and snow.
Your new driver is going to be behind the wheel of a 3,000 pound missile. We believe that they should know more than just how to drive around the block and parallel park (which is the extent of most State's driving test).
Does Rules of the Road come with a book?
No. Our program is strictly an interactive DVD. We believe that many students are visual learners and respond well to our video format. However, the more materials and methods to which you can expose your teen, the better.
What languages are available?
All of the dialogue is spoken in English. Subtitles are available in both English and Spanish on every copy of the Rules of the Road.

Simply use the menus on the DVD to pick a subtitle option. Subtitles are set to "None" by default.
Is Rules of the Road just for teens?
No. While the Rules of the Road was designed with teens in mind (as the majority of new drivers are teenagers), the material is still applicable and useful to any new driver, regardless of age.
Does Rules of the Road cover the same questions that will be on the DMV test?
We have included an interactive quiz section on The Rules of the Road. All of these questions are similar to those you would find on the DMV test.

Use of teen instructors increases retention
We designed Rules of the Road to help teens learn to drive. The last thing a teenager wants to do is watch a driver's ed video and be lectured to by a bunch of "old folks".
Our teen instructors (with the help of their parents and other instructors) teach your teen everything they need to know in order to learn to drive.

Follow Aaron, Elizabeth, Alex, and Jon,
with a little help from their parents,
as they learn the basics of driving.
