·Easy to learn. All of the games below are extremely easy to learn.
·Fun. No matter how simple or easy they may be, some games are just not fun (we’re STILL looking at you, Every Second Counts.)
And so, the list...
10. Off the Rails – Just a word of warning before you get into this one - There's no way you're going to convince anyone that you're actually doing real work when you're busy slamming the left and right arrow keys like they're giving out prizes to the first guy to break his keyboard. Even still, it's kind of fun until your fingers start to hurt.
9. Balls - It's not often that a game opens by telling you that you have microscopic balls. It's really not as bad as it sounds.
8. Pile O Bubbles - This one's fun and a little different than most of the games you see floating around. I have a feeling that it might get old after a while, but it's definitely worth a few rounds. If you're prone to browser game addiction, steer clear.
7. Hexiom - Hexiom is one of those games that will make your brain hurt after 8-10 levels. The idea itself is simple - just make sure that each piece is touching exactly the number of pieces indicated on its center. I'm warning you now because you're not going to believe me when you make it to level 5 in around 30 seconds.
6. Mr. Men Pinball - This game is a lot like those old school pinball games where you'd share one ball between two "machines," except that in this case, you're responsible for guarding both holes.
5. Spot the Differences - I'm not happy with this game right now. I located the first four differences really quickly, but I just couldn't justify wasting any more of the workday testing this one out. Maybe you'll have better luck. Or maybe you'll waste an entire afternoon looking for the last difference. Maybe there IS NO LAST DIFFERENCE!
4. Thule Trail - Thule Trail is a fun modern take on the old Oregon Trail game. Instead of heading west for a new life, you're heading to a music festival.
3. Rhythm Fireworks - This is like Dance Dance Revolution for your fingers. This game is totally out of my league.
2. Sushi Go Round - This game is another of many "Do X, Y, and Z as impatient customers wait." But of course, you probably beat Diner Dash ages ago, so you need something to move on to.
1. Blocky - Blocky is deceptively simple at first, but like most good internet games, it doesn't stay that way for long. You start out with a box full of multi-colored squares, and you have to drag the mouse to create boxes where all four corners are the same, thus "eating" all the squares inside. You continue each round until eliminate all the faces or run out of time.

Brian - I agree, there are enough things to worry about without spending half an hour figuring out how to play some strange, convoluted, poorly documented game. Simplicity is much more elegant.
Jim - You are a tricky, tricky guy - but thank you for assuring me that I'm not totally insane/inept!
OK, for number 5, Spot the differences, there are five differences.
However when you play, only four pop up. You get frustrated, restart, and the fifth difference pops up, but one of the things you found before is no longer different. Maddening, but I would not call it a game, rather its a trick.
ROT13 the following to see the differences listed:
bar oveq be gjb
onpxtebhaq fxlfpencre unf ab gbc
zna punatrf cbfvgvba
gerr unf funqbj, fbzrgvzrf
svefg penpx vf zvffvat
Great blog. I often have trouble with the games that take a lot of knowledge. I like the easy ones.
