So one night I'm sitting on the couch watching TV and I see a commercial for the Ped Egg. I'd never heard of it and it looked like a cheap piece of plastic junk, so I continued watching to see what this thing was about. Most infomercials are good for a laugh. Not with the Ped Egg; this is no laughing matter.
The Ped Egg is pretty much an egg-shaped cheese grater for the bottom of your feet. It scrapes off all of the dry skin and wears down calluses. The foot shavings are collected inside of the Ped Egg. The commercial shows people rubbing it back and forth across the bottoms of their nasty feet. This is undeniably gross.
But the Peg Egg commercial does not stop there. Then, without warning, the Peg Egg is opened up and a mound of nasty foot dust shavings is dumped into a trashcan. Sick. The quantity of foot dust is atrocious. It will make you want to throw up. I've watched it several times and I still get the chills.
Go ahead and watch the video clip from the Home Shopping Network. (The Ped Egg people have taken down the actual commercial from You Tube.) Let's see if you are as appalled as I was.
How is it physically possible to shave off that much crap from the bottom of just two feet? Who has feet that are this disgusting? Is there a point at which you have to quit the scraping or else your feet will bleed? Will I ever be able to look at white sandy beaches the same? Do pranksters who have cokehead friends switch out baggies of cocaine with the foot shavings from a Ped Egg?
Several people have posted positive reviews about the Ped Egg on their blogs. So, if you or a loved one has janky feet, go ahead and order a Ped Egg or two. Maybe you could see how much foot dust you can accumulate in one foot shaving session and get yourself an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records.
This product is actually tremendous. The Ped-Egg removes dead skin where every other device fails. I agree that the commercial (and its actual use) is absolutely disgusting, but the Ped-Egg provides relief for people with bad callouses on their feet. The Ped-Egg is also a lot cheaper than a trip to a dermatologist or a spa. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who suffers from calluses or wants smoother feet.
By the way, the Ped-Egg only removes dead skin. The Ped-Egg won't cut live skin. It won't even burst a balloon.
Can't be as worse as Vagisil commercials...
I had your exact same thoughts as I saw this infomercial at a store display. I couldn't stop laughing as it is so disgusting that it was funny. Parmesan cheese anyone??
If you've never seen a Ped Egg in action, you can check out a video product review of it at www.asotv.info. The Ped Egg does scrape the dead and dry skin off of your foot, but it can make a mess doing so.
I guess none of the people who think it's gross have ever used a sanding paddle. That is messy and you could choke on the dust. Not only is it much cleaner to use it WORKS AMAZING!!! My feet havn't been this smooth in years.

I thought the same thing when i watched that part! I don't know why people just can't use exfoliating foot scrub & WASH THEIR FEET!
Have you ever tried this Ped-Egg? It is amazing, if your grossed out on foot dust I can't imagine what you would do about a nose hair clipper. You must not want to take care of your feet or never look at them. I found this Ped-Egg to be the best thing I have purchased in years.
First of all, do you notice how uncomfortable those women look in the video while they're scrubbing their feet? Second, there is no mention in your blog posting how amazing it is that this company managed to sell nearly 11,000 PedEggs while on HSN! That's unbelievable...how many housewives across America have such nasty feet that they require this device?
