Delightful, Strange, & Unusual Beds

While most of us are thrilled with a simple pillow-top mattress or memory foam slab on a basic frame, there are always those who feel the need to be a little different. Below, we've found a variety of unusual beds for those who crave a unique sleeping experience.

The Private Cloud Bed: Without the stabilizers, this would definitely make an interesting sleeping experience.

The Feel Sofa / Bed: This unusual bed looks like it has the potential to be extremely comfortable.

The Atman Spiritual Bed: If I were another bed, I would definitely not be attracted to this bed. The loud and garish colors make me wonder why anyone considers this a "spiritual" place of rest.

The Sleep Pod: Although the conditions are a little cramped, this definitely seems comfortable. I've always wanted a human-size cat bed.

The Bed Up: It would take a brave person to live and work beneath this bed.

The Bulldozer Bed: How cool is it to be able to say, "My bulldozer bed could flatten your race car bed any day of the week."

The Carousel Water Bed: This bed just screams, "And this is where the magic happens..." It wasn't enough for it to just be a waterbed - they had to go and make it round and cover it in 1980s floral-patterned comforters. Can't you just hear the Firehouse playing?

Float: This bed looks like something straight out of a fairy tale.

The Fold-Out Door Bed: If you have a habit of rolling out of bed, this is probably not the choice for you, no matter how tight your living quarters may be.

The Hanging Bed: As pictured, this actually looks quite peaceful and serene. I'm not sure it would look nearly as nice in a cramped home, though.

Finally, just a few more that don't seem to be in production. If you happen to know where they came from, feel free to let us know in the comments. We're certainly not trying to deny credit where credit is due.

The Toothbrush Bristle Bed: It actually looks like it would be a lot of fun to sleep in this bed.

The Twig Bed: Completely charming. This is another bed that would be right at home in a fairy tale setting.

The Silhouette Bed: Completely ridiculous, but you've gotta give the guy (or girl) credit for creativity.

I have a swan bed that is ready to have another home It was from a store in L.A. named Vermillion on the corner of Melrose/Crescent Heights...It is an overstuffed sled bed surrounded by swans with the wings wrapped around and the 4 swans are 2 at a time faceing each other at the head of the bed and the foot...as anyone knows about restoration usually the new owner wants to pick their own fabrics and the swans should be repainted to match room or fabric used .I can send pics... it is in Calif.
