A: The stones are smooth, but they are not slippery! They have enough texture to prevent your drink from sliding, yet they are flat enough to provide a stable surface.

Q: How even is the coaster surface? Will my drink lean more to one side when it's sitting on the coaster?
A: The surface of the BeachStone Tile Coaster is not perfectly flat, as the pebbles are naturally different sizes. However, the pebbles are very similar in height, providing a stable surface for most glasses.

A: No. The only BeachStone product that we currently carry is the coaster set featured above.

Q: what is the backing of the pebble coasters? it looks like it is sitting on a backing of mesh that would scratch the table and allow drips to pass through.
A: There is a thin plastic layer on the bottom of the BeachStones with an internal meshing. It is perfectly smooth on the bottom and would not scratch the table nor would it allow drips to pass through to the table.

Q: Wouldn't the rocks scratch a table surface?
A: The rocks of the BeachStone Tiles are attached to a transparent plastic sheet which prevents scratching to the table surface.

Q: Is it a stable surface for stemware - martinis and wines etc?
A: Yes. Beachstone Tile Coasters aren't perfectly smooth, of course, but as long as you're using the same caution you would normally use with stemware, you should have no problems.
