Q: Why do the drinkers need to know how to make drinks? I could lose business.
A: The use of cocktail coasters in a bar is the equivalent of a movie offering previews, or a grocery store offering free samples. Yes, you're giving something away for free, but it's not like an entire cocktail recipe book fits on the coasters. They may learn how to make a cosmopolitan, but they'll still need you for their Long Island Iced Teas and Southern Pink Flamingos. Plus, seeing what's in a drink might make it sound more appealing...and it's not like they're carrying flasks and shakers in their coat pocket.
