Motion-activated candy dispenser = no bird flu!
Old-fashioned candy dispensers are great... except that every piece of candy you eat has basically taken a bath in the fingers of every other person who has used the dispenser. Gross.
With the Candy Wizard Motion-Activated Candy Dispenser, you can enjoy delicious candy without fear of catching some mutant strain of influenza.
Simply rest your hand underneath the dispenser and out shoots your candy. Perfect!
Motion-activated, no-touch dispenser promotes a germ-free (and delicious!) environment.
Small footprint, big capacity
The Candy Wizard Candy Dispenser will only take up 6.75" of space on your desk, but it can store and dispense over 80 ounces of candy! That's nearly 2.5 liters of Reese's Pieces, M&Ms, Skittles, and gumballs!
The Candy Wizard holds a whopping 80 ounces of candy. A small LED light activates whenever goods are dispensed.
Adjustable portion control
At Vat19.com, we operate on a scale of 1-10 and do everything at an '11'. However, we realize that not everyone wants an overflowing handful of Skittles. Thankfully, so did the smart folks who designed The Candy Wizard.
Twist the knob on the base of the unit to select between small or large helpings. You can also turn off the unit with this selector.
Choose between small or large portions by twisting the dial to the "1" or "2" position.
Just think of all that tasty candy!
While it's possible that we have an overactive sweet tooth, it cannot be denied that The Candy Wizard, when filled with vibrant and mouthwatering candy, is a thing of beauty.
It was quite the struggle to take the photos below without gorging ourselves on candy corn, Skittles, Good 'n Plenty, and M&Ms.
You can't eat candy all the time, right?
Nuts make for great snacks, too! Indulge your healthy habits (and reduce the spread of germs) by filling up The Candy Wizard with unsalted nuts.
Please note that salted nuts could eventually build up and clog or corrode the mechanism inside.
The Candy Wizard will also work its magic with unsalted nuts like almonds and peanuts.

Burning Questions: You ask and we answer!
Burning Questions: You ask and we answer!
Your questions that have been answered by the Vat19.com staff:
Sort by: Questions to show:
Q: would sour patch kids work?
A: We recommend against it, as the powdery coating on Sour Patch Kids could build up and clog the machine.
Q: Can you put crunchmellows in It or will it get crumbly
A: Yep! Mini Crunchmallows would fit perfectly in the Candy Wizard, but do so with care because the dust could build up on the dispenser and cause it to clog.
A: No. The Candy Wizard was designed to dispense nuts and candies which are approximately the same size as an M&M or Mike & Ike. If what you want to dispense is any larger than one of those candies, then it probably won't work.
Q: what would happen if it got clogged then do we send it back if not how do we clean it
A: There isn't really any way to clean the mechanism that dispenses the candy, and we won't take it back if you put something in there that can clog. You should stick to the sort of candies and nuts we discuss on the page and simply avoid the possibility of a clog.
Q: With gumballs (because I want to buy one to put gumballs in), how big can they be? Do they have to be the tiny ones, or can regular sized gum balls be used (I think they're about 1 inch..). And if so, would it give you more than one at a time? Thanks
A: They must be very small. The Candy Wizard was designed for candies approximately the same size as an M&M, so you should try to stick to things that are at least that small.
A: We don't recommend using larger wrapped candies. The Candy Wizard was designed for use with smaller unwrapped candies like Skittles, jelly beans, and M&Ms.
Q: Can the Candy Wizard be dismantled for cleaning?
A: The lid can be taken off to wipe out the interior of the bowl, though apart from that it's not really possible to dismantle the entire unit. This is a big part of the reason why we say not to use sugar or salt coated treats in the Candy Wizard.
Q: i have a 6 year old sister and what if she comes into my room and just puts her hand under it and steals all my candy she knows how to turn it on and off and she knows how to put the battries in what do i do p.s u guys are AWESOME :)
A: Yep! Mini Crunchmallows would fit perfectly in the Candy Wizard, but do so with care because the dust could build up on the dispenser and cause it to clog.
Q: If you twist the knob on the side will the candies inside come pouring out small amounts, or will it only dispense if you have an object (hand) under it?
A: The Candy Wizard will only dispense its contents if you activate the motion sensor with your hand. The knob only controls how much is dispensed at a time.
A: They would dispense, but we do not recommend it because they are very brittle and could come apart while dispensing. The "dust" from the Crunchmallows could eventually build up and clog the mechanism inside.
Q: Will wrapped jolly ranchers work or are they too sticky?
A: We don't recommend using larger wrapped candies. The Candy Wizard was designed for use with smaller unwrapped candies like Skittles, jelly beans, and M&Ms.
Q: If it is battery operated, what kind and how many batteries?
A: The Candy Wizard requires 4xAA batteries (not included). All of the technical information, such as batteries and dimensions, can be found at the top of the product page.
A: No. You should only use plain nuts and candies in the Candy Wizard. Coated nuts or candies can create a buildup in the dispenser which can clog and ruin the machine.
Q: would pink smokers fit inside the candy wizard?
A: They might fit, but we don't have any around to test with. Generally speaking, you don't want to use any candies that are much larger than an M&M in the Candy Wizard.
A: Yes, but AstroRox will begin to soften and become sticky if left out for a few days. The Candy Wizard might not be the best dispenser for freeze-dried ice cream.
A: We honestly haven't tried rice or other grains, but we think that it might work! The only concern we have is that the rice or grains could be so small that they would get caught in the dispensing mechanism.
Q: can i put liquid in there?? Tell me what can't i put in it?
A: The Candy Wizard is not designed to store liquid. Rather than go through an endless list of things that it cannot hold, it's easier to simply say what it can: small unsalted nuts and candies.
Q: how many large bags of skittles would it take to fill this?
A: It depends on the size of the bag you're buying. The largest I could find was 54 ounces, so you could add approximate one and a half bags that size to the Candy Wizard.
Q: Would gold fish work with the candy wizard or is it to salty?
A: Basically you want to avoid anything that will crumble in the Candy Wizard. Crackers, salty things and sugar coated candies can cause buildup in the dispensing mechanism which could cause it to corrode or burn out.
Q: You guys are so awesome!!!!! Just had to say that. One question do you have like everything in your rooms like this? It seems like your rooms are very awesome.
A: Thanks! You'd be hard-pressed to walk into any of our offices and NOT see one of our products. We love our stuff just as much as you!
Q: Can you put other stuff in it? (tacks, paperclips, coins)
A: The Candy Wizard was designed specifically for small candies; we can't guarantee that anything else will really work that well. Metal objects could make the Candy Wizard so heavy that it could break the dispenser.
A: We recommend just a quick surface clean with a damp cloth or napkin. Do not attempt to flush the Candy Wizard with water or other cleaners, as this could ruin the dispensing mechanism.
Q: 1.Can you fit sunflower seeds? 2.Where would be a great place to put it away for my dog?
A: Sunflower seeds will fit as long as they're unsalted or plain. As with anything you want to keep away from your dog you should probably put it up someplace high.
A: Takis are too large to fit in the Candy Wizards dispenser. I actually had to look up what Takis are, and I've got to tell you, I really wish we had them here. They look delicious!
Q: I don't know if this was asked or not, but what if someone or something walked by the Candy Wizard's motion sensor? Is there an off button?
A: You need to put your hand directly under the Candy Wizard for it to dispense, which means that simply walking past it will not cause it to go off. Yes, there is an on/off setting.
Q: Would it attract flies and ants? Is there a cover to put on the dispenser so theres no flies flying up the machine?
A: The Candy Wizard shouldn't attract any flies or ants, and there isn't really any way for flies to get into the dispenser. If you already have either pest in your house, you might want to consider emptying you Candy Wizard and calling an exterminator.
Q: Could I put in two different types of candy that you said would work in the Candy Wizards at the same time like Skittles and Mike and Ikes? I wanna see if those work
A: You sure can! You can mix and match any candies as long as they aren't too large.
Q: I would like to know how much the candy wizard would cost plus shipping because i live in Canada. Thank you.
A: The cost of shipping and the estimated arrival dates will vary depending on the shipping method you choose at checkout. For shipping estimates, simply click the "Calculate Shipping" link above the green "Add to Cart" button near the top of any product page.
Q: Are there candies that wont fit in this (besides king sized)? If there are, what kinds?
A: Pretty much anything larger than a Mike & Ike or small nut. There are really too many to list, but it should be fairly obvious whether or not it's going to fit.
Q: Can you fit the bottom of this inside party bears belly? and then have the irony of filling up the dispenser and Maniacally devouring his childeren?
Q: How much is shipping and handling to canada because I have a 30 dollar mark no more then 30 and if theres some money left then to buy candy for this awesome thing! please tell me :)
A: The cost of shipping and the estimated arrival dates will vary depending on the shipping method you choose at checkout. For shipping estimates, simply click the "Calculate Shipping" link above the green "Add to Cart" button near the top of any product page.
Q: What happens if you set it to "hand full" and you take some candy then you take it away would it spill? and how do you know you set it to "hand full" and a "little"?you guys rock!!!
A: Obviously if you move your hand after activating the dispenser it will spill the candy. As for how to set it, the different amounts can be chosen with the knob on the base.
Q: Is there one with an ac adapter so that its more convenient to not have to keep changing batteries? Also, how long does the machine last when running on batteries?
A: Sorry, but we do not carry a Candy Wizard which has an AC adapter. It uses very little power, so the batteries should last quite a long time.
Q: How can you clean the Candy Wizard and can it break?
A: There shouldn't be much of a need to clean it, but if you need to, I would suggest using a damp cloth to clean the inside of the clear container. Liquids and powdery/salted treats can damage the dispensing mechanism.
Q: Will it work with gumballs? And how often would you have to clean it? If you don't use it all the time, the candy could melt. And does it need batteries?
A: It will work with small gumballs or Chicklets. There isn't a set amount of time between cleanings, but you shouldn't really need to clean the Candy Wizard. As long as you don't store the Candy Wizard where it is warm or in direct sunlight, you won't need to worry about candy melting. Yes, it requires 4xAA batteries.
A: It depends on the brand of laxative, and whether or not it is oral or suppository, but either way I can't imagine why anyone would need that many laxatives on demand.
Q: Is their any form of payment needed? like if you wanted to have the Candy Wizard in your house and want your family to have to buy the candy for a quarter
A: The Candy Wizard does not have a coin slot and the candy is freely dispensed. I guess it's true that the best things in life really are free!
A: Most small candies will work, such as M&Ms, Nerds, Mike & Ikes, and so on. We do not recommend using the Candy Wizard with any sugar coated candies.
A: We honestly haven't tried rice or other grains, but we think that it might work! The only concern we have is that the rice or grains could be so small that they would get caught in the dispensing mechanism.
Q: If candy melt such as m&ms can it damage the machine if it does't can you wash it? Also are peanut m&ms to big for the machine?
A: Peanut M&Ms are too large. There isn't really a way to clean out the Candy Wizard if candy melts in it, so we recommend simply avoiding that situation by keeping it out of the heat and direct sunlight.
Q: "That's nearly 2.5 liters of Reese's Pieces, M&Ms, Skittles, and gumballs!" If popcorn is too large for the machine, how is it possible to put gumballs in it?
A: They do make tiny gumballs for smaller machines.
Q: 1. Can it work with gummy bears? OmNomNom...2. Does it make a creepy buzz noise when dispenses candy?????3. Would it be a good house from my pet platypus and pygmy marmoset?
A: Gummy bears might work, but they tend to clump up. The Candy Wizard makes a slight whirring sound, but I wouldn't call it creepy.
Q: I know that the Candy Wizard cant take any liquid, but if you fit small packaged candies/liquids in there, would the Candy Wizard dispense them correctly or would they pop?
A: They could either pop or be too large for the dispenser. You should really only stick to small, individual candies or nuts.
Q: When you turn off the lights will it dispense candy by accident because is motion activated?
A: I think you may have answered your own question. The dispenser is motion activated, not light activated. It's actually smart enough to know the difference between a hand and the lights going out.
Q: I just thought of a good use for next halloween. It requires this, some candy, and small plastic bags. When kids come by, you fill up a small bag for them or maybe let them do it. You'd get more candy than the "fun-sized" bags. What do you think?
A: That's a great idea! Just make sure to keep an eye out for those kids who go around the block, take a piece or two off their costume, and try to come back for seconds.
Q: Would you be able to put Smarties (the M&M-style candy/chocolate pieces, not the chalky pill-like candies known in Canada as Rockets) in the Candy Wizard?
A: Yes, those would definitely work in the Candy Wizard. The chalky Smarties would probably get crushed.
Q: If I do end up putting things like salted nuts or cat food in there and it gets clogged, is there any way to clean it out or is it just gone for good?
A: There really isn't any way to clean it because liquids will damage the electric motor that operates the dispenser. Just don't use salted or sugar-coated candies and you should be fine.
A: I can't think of anything specific, but remember that if something is too small (say, grains of salt or sugar) it could possibly clog the dispensing mechanism.
A: If exposed to direct sunlight or left in a hot room your candies could melt. It really depends a lot on the type of candy and the ambient temperature.
Q: Is there an on/off switch? beause I want to put this in my school locker and I'm worried that if something falls in front of it that the candy would fall out (But in saying that it would be pretty funny if someone was passing and it scared them XD)
A: The Candy Wizard has 3 settings: off, small portions, and large portions
Q: So... when you put your hand there, does it just dispense the amount you set it to and then it stops and waits for your hand to move? Or is there a time limit to move your hand away before it comes spilling out again?
A: Yes, there is a short interval of time in which you can move your hand and not set the dispenser off again.
Q: When are you gonna make a video about it and also if a toy train would go under it at 36 km/h would it dispense candy?
A: We haven't tested it with anything but our hand, but that would be a pretty neat display! We don't have a release date for the video yet, but please keep checking back!
Q: is the body made out of plastic or metal? What about the clear part is that glass or plastic? What if it were to fall of a table? Is it battery powered?
A: The Candy Wizard is made out of very durable plastic, so as long as you don't drop it very hard or from very high up it should be okay. The Candy Wizard does require 4xAA batteries.
Q: Would starburst candies fit? What candies have you tested in this? Once I buy this where can I buy my m&ms/skittles in 80oz to fill this awesome product?
A: Starburst might be a little too large. The candies and nuts we tested can be seen in the photographs on the product page. Candy can usually be bought in bulk at stores like Sam's and Walmart.
Q: If your gonna ship to my country, so I have to pay you a dollar money or Philippine money?
A: When you make your purchase on your credit card, the credit agency or issuing bank will make the necessary conversion. We do not accept cash of any kind.
Q: Roughly how long is the battery life of it? Do you have to turn it off whenever you are done or does it drain little enough battery that you can just leave it on?
A: The battery life really depends on how often you use it, but I can say that the amount of drain is small enough that you can leave it on for extended periods of time without needing to turn the entire Candy Wizard off.
Q: Could you put the tiny 1/2 inch chocolate bars in it like snickers or milky ways? Or lemon heads? Could you put beads in it? Like beads for making a bracelet?
A: Lemon Heads and beads would be perfect, but the small candy bars would likely be a bit too large.
Q: Ok so lets say that I purchase this candy wizard. What if I accidentally drop it off a two story building? Is there any chance it will survive the drop?
Q: I'm a candy lover, so I eat A LOT of different kinds of candy. Will the candy wizard fit different types of candy at the same time? Such as, some starbursts a little sour skittles and warheads. Oh yeah, me and my friends just adore vat19!
A: Thanks! As long as they aren't too big, you're more than welcome to add as many different types of candy as you like!
A: We recommend only using small candies or nuts. M&Ms, Skittles, Mike & Ikes... those are all pretty good examples of what we mean by "small candies".
Q: Say if there was a build up in the machine, can we fix it or clean it?
A: Apart from surface cleaning, there isn't really a method to clean the inner workings. This is why we recommend that you don't use sugar-coated or salted candies or nuts.
Q: I'm a chef and so would this machine be perfect for stuff like dispensing rice, grains and other items like that or would it be to small where it would get stuck?
A: We honestly haven't tried rice or other grains, but we think that it might work! The only concern we have is that the rice or grains could be so small that they would get caught in the dispensing mechanism.
Q: How does it know not to dispense some more when it senses you withdrawing your hand? Is there a time interval? If there is, could you give me an estimate on it's duration?
A: There is a delay of a second or two. Don't worry, the Candy Wizard is smart enough to know when you are genuinely reaching for candy.
Q: Does it make any noise when it dispenses candy besides the sound of the candy itself?
A: The Candy Wizard makes a slight whirring noise, but apart from that it is pretty quiet. The sound the candy makes as it falls out is actually louder than the motor.
Q: Will there perhaps be a blue machine? Also, whats to stop light from setting it off like lights on and lights off? Would a cup to catch failures be a good idea?
A: Sorry, but we do not have plans for a blue Candy Wizard at this time. Because the sensor is motion activated and not light activated, you do not need to worry about it dispensing candy whenever you turn the lights on and off.
Q: two questions:1) Is it easy to clean if you put something messy inside it (Like salted nuts)?2) Would goldfish crackers likely break inside it since they are pretty fragile?
A: We recommend that you avoid storing messy, sugared, or salted treats in your Candy Wizard as it could cause damaging buildup or corrosion in the dispensing mechanism. Goldfish crackers will probably crack (based on the feedback of another customer).
A: We recommend just a quick surface clean with a damp cloth or napkin. Do not attempt to flush the Candy Wizard with water or other cleaners, as this could ruin the dispensing mechanism.
Q: I shall not put those sweets with sour coating on them?
A: It would be best to avoid any treats with sugar or salt coatings, as this could lead to a buildup in the dispensing mechanism that could ruin the Candy Wizard.
A: Popcorn might be a little too large to fit through the opening, but it's worth a shot. Be careful not to add salt or butter, as this could clog up and ruin the dispensing mechanism.
Q: Do you ship to the philippines, and how many days? :)(I SO WANT IT! XD)
A: We do provide shipping to the Philippines. Shipping costs and times will vary depending on the shipping method you choose at checkout. For an estimate, simply click the "Calculate Shipping" link above the green "Add to Cart" button near the top of any product page.
Q: Between the max and min candy despensing how much candy pieces will be despensed?
A: I can't give an exact number because candy comes in all different shapes and sizes, but it ranges from a small handful of just a few pieces to a relatively large handful. With Skittles, the "small" portion yielded about 6 pieces, while the "large" portion yielded 12.
Q: Is there any candy that is too large to be dispensed by the Candy Wizard, that could otherwise be dispensed by other regular manual candy dispensers?
A: Regular size gumballs spring immediately to mind. They are much too large for the Candy Wizard.
Q: i am sorry i mean. why do you not advertize tv sorry dont answer first qustien.
A: Really it's because TV advertising is very expensive and with things like TIVO and On-Demand programming, many people aren't even watching the commercials on TV.
Q: How long do you think it will take before my cat realizes that all it has to do in order to score my free candy is to rub it's furry body all over my new candy dispenser?
A: Hopefully not too soon! You might want to make sure you keep your kitten away from your candy stash. Keep in mind you can always use the knob to turn off the motion sensitivity when you're away.
Q: You seem to be pushing "unsalted" nuts a lot here, is it because salt jams up The Candy Wizard or something, or is Vat19 trying to brainwash me into healthy eating?
A: Haha, don't worry; it's purely a mechanical issue. You don't think that the purveyors of the World's Largest Gummy Bear would try to trick you into eating healthy, do you?
Q: How many different candy selections are there to select from?
A: There are quite a few candies that are small enough to fit. M&Ms, Skittles, Mike & Ikes, and Jelly Beans immediately come to mind, but there are hundreds of small candies and nuts that would work.
Q: While perfect for small snacks, candies and unsalted nuts... what if I'm hungry for something more substantial? Can it be used to dispense spaghetti, or meatloaf? Or at least salted nuts?
A: There is something about the mental imagery of a meatloaf and spaghetti dispenser that is slightly disturbing. As for the salted nuts, the salt could eventually build up and jam/corrode the dispensing mechanism.
I just wanted to thank you for the amazing service. I ordered some converse socks for my friend, and they arrived sooner than I had expected.
