Yes, that's an AK-47 Water Gun. And yes, you can buy it.
Designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov in 1947, the AK-47 is one of the world's most popular and reliable assault rifles. In addition to outselling all other assault rifles, a picture of the AK-47 is on the flag of Mozambique! That's some serious love for the AK.
While we love us some high-octane action movies, we're not gun freaks at Vat19.com. However, there's just something awesome about a fully automatic and motorized water assault rifle.
The Saturator AK-47 is a fully automatic water rifle.
Shoot 4 bullets of water per second!
The Saturator AK-47 shoots four water "bullets" per second. That's plenty fast to pepper even the quickest kitty cat that has scampered onto your newly finished table.
The fully automatic Saturator AK-47 shoots four bullets of water per second.
Fully automatic, one-finger shooting
Most non-awesome water guns are manually powered. They require you to pump it almost as often as you shoot.
With the Saturator AK-47, all you have to do is pull the trigger. You can mash it down until you run out of water knowing that each shot is going to travel as far and be as powerful as the last.
Simply press the trigger to fire the Saturator AK-47.
Motorized shooting means no manual pumping
The Saturator AK-47 requires 4 AA batteries (which are not included). Motorized firing means no more pumping as well as lightning fast shooting.
A fresh set of batteries will last for approximately two hours of continuous shooting before needing to be changed. This means that you could douse your friends with over 5 gallons of water bullets (approximately 33,000 rounds) before needing a new set!
A fresh set of batteries (not included) will provide for roughly two hours of continuous shooting.
Your removable clip holds 250 water "bullets"
The curved, removable water magazine closely resembles that of the iconic AK-47's clip. It's really as cool as it looks.
The Saturator's clip holds 5.75 ounces of water, which provides for over a minute of continuous shooting (approximately 250 "bullets").
The AK-47 Saturator's removable magazine holds nearly 6 ounces of water.
Strafe your enemies from twenty feet away
Attack your enemies from up to twenty feet away with the Saturator AK-47!
The Saturator AK-47 shoots a distance of up to 20 feet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Wait, is this for real?
Answer: Yes, it is very real and very awesome.
Question: But doesn't this promote violence?
Answer: Probably. But it certainly encourages kids to put down the video game controller and get off of their ever-fattening arses and DO something.
Question: Violence is bad! You should be ashamed of yourselves for encouraging kids to play with guns!
Answer: You'd better get out of here, fast! We can hear a tree with diminished self-esteem that needs a hug somewhere.
Question: Can I purchase extra clips?
Answer: Not at this time. However, it doesn't take long to refill. Plus, enterprising soldiers will find ways to carry extra "ammo" (i.e. a water bottle).
Question: Will I need to change the batteries often?
Answer: Not really. One set lasts for several hours of continuous shooting. Since you're hardly shooting non-stop for such a long period of time, you're not going to need new batteries very often.
Question: If the clip only lasts for one minute, won't I run out too quickly?
Answer: The clip lasts for 1 minute of continuous shooting (meaning you've got the trigger pulled for an entire minute). At four "bullets" per second, you can fire off 250 rounds with one clip. That should be plenty. Plus, only Steven Seagal can shoot for an entire movie without needing to reload.
Question: Why can this item only be shipped via UPS?
Answer: Although not a gigantic item (only 13.75" long), the post office considers the Saturator to be "oversized".

Burning Questions: You ask and we answer!
Burning Questions: You ask and we answer!
Your questions that have been answered by the Vat19.com staff:
Sort by: Questions to show:
Q: So it isn't recommended to use this in the pool?
A: We would not recommend using the Saturator in a pool because the battery compartment is not completely watertight and could be damaged if completely submerged.
Q: Would this work with the "spit-balls" you guys/girls (<-- trying not to be sexist!) sell? As in loading the small spit-balls into the clip? Just thinking about buying. Please test this!
A: Spitballs are far too large to be used in the Saturator. The nozzle is approximately the same size as a standard water gun.
Q: I'm a 55-year-old housewife and I want something I can use to repel coyotes while walking my dog. It should have 20-30' range and deliver a moderately painful punch. I prefer no sound effects as I don't want to startle my dog. Would the AK-47 work?
A: The Saturator AK-47 has a range of 20 feet, but I cannot guarantee that it would be effective at repelling coyotes.
Q: I continued with the third question since I had no more space to type...3:Is it ok to sumerge the gun HALF-WAY?P.S:You guys make my day and making me looking forward to buy them!AWESOME!!!!(Sandra)(8 yrs old)
A: If thrown into a pool, the Saturator will eventually sink and can be ruined. For the sake of the gun, we do not recommend submerging it in part or whole. It's okay if it gets wet, but allowing water to enter the gun by submerging it can ruin the mechanism inside.
Q: What happens if you accidentally drop it in fire/ice?
A: Well, if you dropped it into a fire it would surely melt. Ice wouldn't be a problem, but if you let it freeze while the Saturator is fully loaded the expanding ice may crack and ruin the gun.
Q: How powerful is the shot? On many regular water guns, I can shoot people in the eye, and it won't permanently damage them. I never do it on purpose though. I don't want to have to worry about shooting someone in the face with when I am in a Water WAR
A: We don't recommend aiming directly for someone's eye, but you do not need to worry about causing any severe or lasting damage either.
Q: If the batteries are almost out of power, will the Saturator shoot the water slower or normal pace. Also what color do you like the most. p.s. vat19 rules
A: As the batteries begin to die, you will definitely notice a lack of water pressure and speed. When this happens, just throw in some new AA batteries and rejoin the battle! Orange and grey are pretty good colors!
A: As long as you keep it above water, then it should be OK. The AK-47 Saturator is water-resistant, but not waterproof, so it should not be submerged in water.
Q: If I can convince my sister and cousins, I will buy, 4 of these, many water balloons, decent water pistols from somewhere, water bottles (Ammo!) and 2 or 4 small buckets for the water balloons. I love my ridiculous plans with your products. :D
A: We certainly would not turn away an order of 100 AK-47 Saturators! However, we do not accept payment by cash through the mail. It's too easily stolen!
A: Please click on the green "Calculate Shipping" link (right above the Add to Cart button at the top of the product page) to find out your shipping options. Both your shipping cost and delivery time will be displayed.
Q: Just HOW water resistant are they? Could I spray a hose at close range at the battery compartment for prolonged periods of time? Sometimes the water fights I'm in get nasty.
A: I would not recommend spraying a hose directly at the Saturator. It can withstand some contact with water (like shots from other water guns), but not a deluge of water.
Q: Do you plan on making any other versions of this gun? And man. How many times do you need to say it can't be submerged in water for people to get it haha. Vat19 you guys/gals are awesome!
A: No, at this time there are no plans to make other versions of the Saturator.
A: I cannot say for sure, but I wouldn't try to. Not only does it look like a weapon, but it also contains a liquid. Liquids over 3oz are prohibited on carry-on luggage. You could probably pack it in your checked luggage, though.
A: I'm going to give it a 9. It is completely awesome, but I'm going to be real and admit that there may be a few things out there that are slightly more awesome (like a 5-pound gummy bear).
Q: is the battery case on the saturator waterproof? I want to be able to take it to the neighborhood pool, fill it with ice cold water, and terrorize small children and grouchy adults.
A: The Saturator AK-47 is water resistant, but not completely waterproof. It should not be submerged in water.
Q: Can i carry this up and down the street? (I live in mass)
A: I am not familiar with Massachusetts law, but my assumption is that you should be fine, as this water gun does not resemble an actual weapon (if it were black and grey, that would be a different story). Then again, we all know what assuming does. If you want to be absolutely sure, check your local laws.
Q: I have bad luck of giving my kids water guns for three reasons1# They break them alot 2#They once got he idea to bring one to school for a sleep over and got in BIG trouble 3#They destroy the house What do you suggest?
A: I guess I suggest not giving them any more water guns. How about a nice puzzle instead?
Q: can you spray-paint it and add a stock to look like a real AK? P.S. can you make 1 with a stock? P.S.S. can i have it for free?ill be your best friend if you do
A: We don't recommend altering the AK-47 Saturator in any way that would make it look more like an actual gun. This is because, in most states, it's illegal to have any toy gun painted in a dark color such as black, making it appear more realistic. Unfortunately, we cannot send you one for free.
Q: Vat 19 reminds me of the local pharmacy that you would go to as a kid but bigger, better, and awesomer! But, without all the pills and medicines... :) Oh, and is the "Saturator" logo painted on or is it a decal? Meaning, will it eventually come off?
A: We're so glad you enjoy Vat19.com! Regarding the AK-47 Saturator, the logo is a decal.
Q: how did vat19 really get its name? and why is every product so awesome.
A: The true origin of the Vat19 name remains a mystery. As for our products, they all have to pass the CAT (Curiously Awesome Test) in order to be on the site. If they're not awesome, they're not here.
Q: Can you actually aim down the sights? FYI to people reading this I'm pretty sure that vat19 cant make any other versions of this because they DON'T manufacture this so stop posting silly questions :D
A: I wouldn't say the sight on the AK-47 Saturator is 100% accurate, but it will help you aim your shot a bit.
Q: Do you like the pumponator or the saturator better?
A: They're both so awesome, I can't choose. (Bet you knew I was going to say something like that.) To be the ultimate water fight champion, I recommend having both the Pumponator and the Saturator in your arsenal.
Q: Great gun, I love squirting my wife with it!You guys should open a help forum for personal problems. Anonymous just like the questions page. You guys are so good at answering any type of question!
A: Thanks, but I think personal problems are far more difficult to answer than questions about squirt guns.
Q: I recently purchased the clear version of this gun. Its AWESOME. However i noticed after the magazine is inserted, and the gun is pointed upward, the magazine drips. If the water from the magazine drips into the gun can it damage it? And should i not point the gun upward if this is the case?
A: No, there should be no issues with water getting into any area of the gun that would ruin it.
Q: Do you sell those in Taiwan? If no, how much is the freight?
A: Yes, we can ship to Taiwan. To get the freight cost, please click on the green "Calculate Shipping" link at the top of the product page, right below the price.
Q: can you mod with airsoft parts? ex...new motor or spiring to mak eshoot harder or faster?
A: Neither Vat19 nor the manufacturer have attempted to modify The Saturator with airsoft parts. We do not recommend modifying the water gun. It is plenty of fun as it is!
Q: Can I spray-paint it black? But leave the orange tip so I dont get arrested.
A: Although we aren't legal experts, in most states it is illegal to have any toy gun painted in a dark color such as black. Neither Vat19 nor the manufacturer support or endorse altering this product in any way.
A: This depends on the shipping method you choose. Please click on the green "Calculate Shipping" link at the top of the product page to determine cost and estimated delivery time.
Q: How come there isn't the color brown with a black clip so it can look like a real AK 47?
A: Nowadays a lot of folks are steering away from letting children play with toy guns and weapons that look too realistic. We don't want anyone mistaking the Saturator AK-47 for an actual AK-47.
Q: can u make a sniper rifle automatic water gun ?or water grenades?like when u throw em' they'll explode a lot of wateR?
A: We don't have water grenades, but we do have the Pumponator. It makes water balloons faster than anything we've seen, and it comes complete with 500 balloons and strings for tying.
Q: Yeah, ok i'm going to buy this from your site with rechargable batteries, but will 1.2V batteries work? If so, how many approx. shots will it produce? Sorry for all the questions, just really need to know.-Thanks.
A: AA (1.2V) rechargeable batteries should work just fine. It's tough to say how many shots rechargeable batteries will give you, as all batteries are manufactured differently and have various life cycles. You may find that one brand of rechargeable battery gives you more shots than another.
Q: Do you sell the other models? Oh and rechargable batteries will last 5 gallons too right?
A: As of now, we only sell the Saturator AK-47. It's difficult to say how long rechargeable batteries will last, as all batteries are manufactured differently and perform at different levels. I think if you stick with a good brand, you'll get plenty of use out of them.
Q: In the area i live, Guns that look too realistic no matter if they are water or cap are not allowed and children can be taken to police stations, Which design does Vat19 believe is the most safe for a child?
A: Well, our Saturator gun resembles an AK-47, but the colors keep it from being so realistic that it is confused with a real weapon. Additionally, the orange cap on the barrel of the gun is a universal symbol that this is a toy and not a real gun. That being said, perhaps the clear version would be best.
Q: Could i fill the water gun with window cleaner to clean my windows the manly way?
A: It could probably work (and would definitely make the task more fun). But keep in mind that this is designed to be a water gun, so filling it with different liquids is at your own risk.
Q: Well, how is the quality and endurance of the gun, not that after a few refils it would brake... i hawe bad exp with low quality guns and i dont like such ...
A: Like any toy that you roughhouse with, the Saturator my suffer a few bumps and bruises, but the shooting power stays consistent.
Q: In South Africa this would make a very interesting toy to say the least. It would be an absolute "jol" to use. Consider looking into export to this market.
A: Well, we do ship worldwide. But the Saturator AK-47 is meant for good, clean fun only. Just with a little bit of edge.
Q: This may seem like a silly question, but is the battery casing water proof? for example, I went to the pool and submergered the gun, would it still work, or would the batterys fry?
A: The Saturator AK-47 is water resistant, meaning it can withstand casual contact with water. Some submersion in water should not deem it inoperable, but the manufacturer does not recommend continually submersing the gun in water. It was not designed for such use.
