Overview
While most of us will never escape Earth's atmosphere aboard a rocket filled with one million pounds of propellant, we can enjoy the same space desserts as those intrepid astronauts!
Since the earliest manned missions, space travelers have relied upon freeze-dried foods for their meals. Today, you can enjoy the same variety of delicious dehydrated ice cream treats that have accompanied many a space mission.
We currently offer four ice cream sandwich flavors: Vanilla, Neapolitan, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Cookies and Cream.
Because it is designed to be stored at room temperature without melting, Astronaut Ice Cream is a perfect snack food for the office, school, train, plane, and even space station (see what we did there?). All Astronaut Ice Creams feature a three year shelf life and are made in the USA.

Of all the technology created to support space flight, our favorite has to be Astronaut Ice Cream. The idea of ultra-lightweight, freeze-dried, good-at-any-temperature ice cream is pure awesome.

Astronaut Ice Cream tastes good. Really good, in fact! Being freeze-dried, it certainly has a bit of a different consistency than regular ice cream. However, all of the flavor comes rushing back into the dessert as soon as you bite into it.
Bottom line: If it doesn't taste good, we don't sell it. I think our track record of finding delectable treats speaks for itself, and you can rest assured that Astronaut Ice Cream will pass even the most discerning of taste tests.

Dessert is my favorite part of any meal. However, it can be arduous to find something uber-sweet at work, school, or inside a Soyuz spacecraft.
With Astronaut Ice Cream, the search is over! Toss an Astronaut Ice Cream Sandwich into your lunch bag, man-purse, satchel, or portmanteau, and you're all set! This stuff is also great for camping, hiking, and tailgating.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Hasn't this stuff been around forever?
Answer: Freeze-dried space food has been used since the days of the Mercury Missions (1959-1963) and has been a mainstay on manned NASA missions ever since. So, it's safe to say that this technology is "tried and true". However, only recently has it been applied to ice cream sandwiches and mini ice cream drops (think freeze-dried Dippin' Dots).
Question: Are these cold? Do they need to be kept in the freezer?
Answer: Nope! Astronaut Ice Cream is freeze dried, which means that they're completely dehydrated (and feel a bit like a cracker) and can be stored at room temperature indefinitely.
Question: Does it actually taste good? Don't lie!
Answer: Yes. It tastes like ice cream, which happens to be the best-tasting dessert known to man.
Question: How long will it last?
Answer: Astronaut Ice Cream has a shelf life of three (3) years. No kidding!
Question: Since they're freeze dried, are they really fragile?
Answer: The Astronaut Ice Cream Sandwiches are quite fragile and it's very likely that they will arrive with a crack or two in them. This is unavoidable. However, it does not at all affect the flavor of the product.
