Oh NeatDesk, where have you been all my life?

The NeatDesk is a high-speed desktop scanner that can scan a bunch of your receipts, business cards, and documents all at once. That's enough to impress me, but hold on to your hats folks, there's more. After the items are scanned, the included NeatWorks software identifies and extracts the important information and automatically organizes it for you on your computer. Seriously, push one button and your documents become PDFs, your receipt information goes into an Excel spreadsheet or QuickBooks, and your business contacts are stored in a digital Roladex.

At about $350.00 a pop, it's quite an investment, but it would make an awesomely unique gift for anyone who is too busy - or too lazy - to keep up on their document organization.

Be sure to check out Vat19.com for more great items to keep you organized.

Treasure: Mayan Temple Desk

Mayan Temple Desk.jpg

If I had a million dollars and wanted to spend $5,000 of it, and if I was into Mayan history, and if I wanted to look ridiculous behind a huge desk, then I'd probably love the Mayan Temple Desk. It would be really funny to watch people walk into my office and end up with this staring them in the face...with me sitting behind it attempting to look serious. I don't think I'd be able to sit behind this desk and not laugh.

Don't get me wrong, this desk is very unique and artistic. The design is clever and it's neat that there are built in drawers and cabinets. However, I'm not into heavily themed decor.

Paper Clip Art

Paper clips are tiny and cheap, but they are among my list of favorite office supplies (right after Post-it notes and Sharpie markers). If you thought that paper clips were confined to desks and used just to hold papers together, think again.

Here are some examples of paper clip art that are pretty impressive. There are more examples at this site.

If you’ve ever seen Office Space, you can probably appreciate the humor in the way that some corporations choose to communicate. Because Vat19 is a TPS-Report Free Workplace, we had to wonder – Do corporations really talk like that? It took us all of ten minutes to get an answer – YES. Below, enjoy a few of the standouts:

-Data Management Group offers ERP consulting services. In case you don’t know, ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning. In short, it’s a set of really expensive hardware and software that makes sure that all your corporate departments are able to work together in one system, technologically speaking.

The goal itself is sensible. Their text, on the other hand…
