Treasure: Samsung Dual LCD Digital Camera

|

Samsung Dual LCD Screens.jpg

A digital camera with LCD screens on the front and the back! Why didn't this already exist? This would be especially helpful when someone (Hi, mom!) who sucks at using a digital camera is taking a photo for you so you can make sure they're getting everything framed correctly. I want one!

All of you who love to take photos of yourself and put them up on Facebook would like this because you can actually see what your photo will look like as it is displayed on the front LCD screen. If you can't afford to buy this new Samsung digital camera, you could always get the job done with the Bottle Cap Tripod or the Gorillapod Flexible Tripod, both available right here at Vat19.com.

Trash: Pet's Eye View Camera

|

After some serious deliberation - in that, I thought about it for maybe 3 minutes - I've decided that the Pet's Eye View Camera is, sadly, trash.

Don't get me wrong. I love my dog, and I've often wondered what the world looks like through her eyes. However, I'm thinking that if you strap the Pet's Eye View Camera on your dog's leash, you're going to get a lot of pictures of grass, their bed, their water/food bowl, and, dare I say it, the private areas of other dogs. You know it's true! And if your dog or cat does happen to be doing something exciting, like chasing a ball or a mouse, the picture's probably going to be blurry.

Save yourself the 30 or so dollars and follow your dog or cat around for a day, snapping pictures with your own camera. They'll come out a lot better, and you and your best friend will have some great bonding time.

Sunprints are seriously magic. All you need to create these unique photographs, also called cyanotypes, are sunlight, light-sensitive paper, water, and whatever object you want to photograph (leaves, coins, flowers, etc). The Sunlight Print Kit includes the light-sensitive paper, instruction/project booklet, templates, and a pen for marking your photographs. Mother Nature will provide the sunlight, water, and your inspiration. Here are a couple examples:
