Evoke wonderful holiday memories with the Holiday Smencils collection of five gourmet scented pencils made from 100% recycled newspaper. A wonderful stocking stuffer, each Smencil features a biodegradable eraser and is housed inside an environmentally-friendly plastic tube.
Smencils are created by rolling sheets of recycled newspaper, dipped in non-toxic fragrance, around a #2 graphite core.
Each five-pack of Holiday Smencils includes Candy Cane, Gingerbread, Cinnamon, Sugar Plum, and Holiday Cheer (baked apple cider) scents. Smencils write, erase, and can be sharpened like any standard #2 pencil.

Smencils are made from 100% recycled newspapers
Unlike traditional pencils which are made from wood, all Smencils, including Holiday Smencils, are composed almost entirely of recycled or recyclable material. The graphite core is wrapped in recycled newspaper which has been dipped in environmentally-friendly, non-toxic fragrances.
The erasers are biodegradable and the ferrules (the metal doodad that holds the eraser) are recyclable. The plastic tube that houses each Smencil is made from corn plastic and is also recyclable.

They write just like regular pencils
Holiday Smencils behave just like regular pencils except that they smell much, much better. The graphite is standard #2 and the Smencil can be sharpened and erased like any other pencil.
Just because they smell great doesn't mean they don't work well.
Holiday Smencils operate exactly the same as your bland-smelling pencil.
Even their pencil shavings smell delicious!
The specks of color you see in the tip of the Smencil are actually from the layers of newsprint used to create the Smencils. Because the entire Smencil is dipped in fragrance, even its pencil shavings smell great.
Each Smencil will maintain its scent for up to two years!
