Answer: When hot liquid is poured into it, the change happens in about a minute. The change back is more gradual and takes around 8 minutes depending on how hot the liquid was and how slowly you drink it.
Question: Can I throw it in the dishwasher?
Answer: Because it has a heat-changing glaze, you should hand wash this mug. A dishwasher will ruin the heat changing properties.
