Answer: Wood isn't flexible. In order to facilitate a proper (and snug!) fit, you must slide the iPhone 5 into one piece and then slide the other piece into position. A spring is cut into the wood so that the two pieces snap together.

Question: It's been sanded smooth, right? I don't want splinters.

Answer: Nobody wants splinters! Yes, of course, the case has been sanded super-smooth.

Question: How much protection does it provide?
