Using a faucet or hose to fill water balloons is fraught with problems. The Pumponator's smaller nozzle (0.375" diameter) makes it easy to fill balloons.

Each Pumponator Balloon Pumping Station comes with 500 water balloons (in assorted colors) as well as a bundle of tying strings. Now, let's get it on!

With the 60-ounce (1.8L) Pumponator, you can fill about a dozen water balloons before needing to refill.

For children (for whom this product was actually designed...odd, right?), the Pumponator's capacity is perfect because it's not too heavy. A completely full Pumponator weighs less than 4 lbs.

To use the Pumponator, start by pumping the plunger 8-10 times to build pressure. Do not overpump!

Fill balloons faster, easier, with less mess

To fill your balloon, stretch it over the three-eighths-of-an-inch diameter nozzle. Then, depress the trigger to control the flow of water (or air) into your balloon.

By slowly pressing the trigger, you can easily avoid the bursts that make using the hose or faucet so annoying.

I'm not quite sure how to prove it to you except to tell the story. Lexi was frustrated with filling water balloons using a hose or faucet, so she went on a search for something better. She found a garden sprayer in her grandma's garage and started using it to fill her water balloons. With the help of grownups (of course) this prototype eventually became the Pumponator.

PLEASE KEEP THE PUMPONATOR UNTIL LIKE MAY! MY MOM SAYS SHE'LL BUY IT WHEN ITS WARMER OUT! DON'T DISCONTINUE IT ANYTIME SOON!!! :D

Can it be used for water guns?

You could probably fill a water gun with the Pumponator, but we aren't aware of any way to attach a Pumponator to a water gun.

How much string is included?

Yes, the Pumponator was really invented by a 4th grader. We think it is OK to trust kids, but we'd probably think twice before trusting kids that have water balloons!

If you press the trigger full on after pumping it, but without putting the balloon on, is the built up pressure of the water going to be dangerous?

No, it's more like a suped-up water fountain.

Why Should i get this instead of the new Tie-Not Battle station? The Tie-Not Station is basically this,but it has a Tie-Not on it. So Why even sell this anymore?

Just because an M-16 is more powerful than a .22 doesn't mean the .22 isn't still useful. Think of the Pumponator as a sidearm in your next watery campaign!

What would you recommend, the pumponator or the tie knot?

The Tie-Not is quicker if you have a hose available. If you do not have a garden hose available, the Pumponator is the better option.

Can you use this as a water gun?

It wouldn't work very well as a water gun.

Sorry, but it wasn't a real water balloon. It was just a joke prop.

Yes, but I don't think that would work very well and I doubt that the balloon would break very easily. I would try making a balloon that was half filled with water and then try adding Spitballs.

Could you put juices in it to serve at a party?

I suppose so. That might get a little messy though.

No, I do not think that will work. The Pumponator is meant to be used with water only.

For best results, yes, but you may be able to get a couple balloons filled after pumping 8-10 times.

I suppose so, but it might be difficult depending on how tightly you tie them.

Not if you're fast enough to refill it without getting hit.

Definitely this. The problem with a hose or a faucet is that neither of them are portable.

We do not ship to Antarctica. Overpumping the Pumponator could actually cause it to burst or otherwise be damaged.

You can usually find packs of water balloons virtually anywhere during the summer which would be a lot less expensive than shipping them would be.

Yes, it's possible.

That depends on your definition of "big". Most water balloons are small enough to be held in the palm of your hand.

What would happen if you put dry ice and water in there...?

Putting dry ice into the Pumponator would generate more constant pressure. Since the Pumponator is designed to generate its own static pressure through the pump system, adding dry ice would make it impossible to regulate the pressure, and you would run the risk of exploding the unit. Yikes!

What is the string made out of?

The tying strings are made from a bio-degradable material so they are safe for the environment.

How long are the strings in length?

Each string is several inches long, so tying them is very easy for people with enormous fingers.

Did Lexi really invent the Pumponator?

A full Pumponator can fill up about 12 water balloons. And we agree, the name is a little sketchy, but you certainly won't forget it!

If the pump won't stop spraying water whether the lever is pressed down or not, how can it be repaired? Or has a seal busted?

It definitely sounds like a seal has been broken somewhere along the line. The Pumponator wasn't designed to be taken apart and serviced, so we can't offer much in terms of repair solutions.

Is the nozzle detachable so you can put on the tie-not instead of the regular nozzle?

Not from us, but water balloons are pretty easy to find in most convenience stores during the summer months.

What will happen if I pump it more than 10 times?

You could risk damaging the pump or the container with too much air pressure.

You can, though I'm not sure I'd want to get hit by a water balloon filled with anything but water.

You can fill them with anything you like, though it might be a little unnecessary to take alcohol out of one bottle just to put it into another.

The Pumponator can not be filled with helium.

We haven't done this, but we don't see why it wouldn't work. Liquids other than water could make it sticky though.
