In 2001, we created our first DVD title. After this initial success, we set out to create a few more titles. Suddenly, the awards came rushing in and we knew we were on to something extraordinary. Currently, we're working at a breakneck speed to create new, fun, interesting, and entertaining titles.

And we sell Curiously Awesome products.

"Curiously Awesome" means: Fun, stylish, and functional products. So, while a USB-powered lawnmower does seem fun and potentially stylish, it's really not all that functional. I mean, who wants to push a lawnmower AND carry their laptop at the same time? So, there ya' go. That's what we mean by Curiously Awesome: Not a USB-powered lawn mower.

How big is it? What does it really "look" like? Does it actually work?

We were tired of online stores that provide a few pictures (badly photographed) and a short description (copied directly from the manufacturer). We also wanted to see certain products in action! We wanted to see video of the item, but couldn't find it.

So, we decided to do it ourselves and show off products through high quality video, great photographs, and lengthy descriptions.

Vat19.com is where we showcase and sell our DVD titles. The company behind the creation of these fantastic products is called Jumby Bay Studios.

All of the DVDs on Vat19 are created in our state-of-the-art 20,000 sq. ft. production facility in St. Louis, MO.

Jumby Bay Studios was incorporated in 2000, however, the founder of the company has been involved in the video production industry since 1973. His first company, Innervision, created commercials, training programs, and corporate communications. He pioneered the “film style” method of lighting and shooting video to create a more film-like look at video-like prices. He was so successful with this combination of high quality and low price that his company expanded and built a 20,000 square foot production facility in 1980 that included the largest sound stage in St. Louis. In 2000, Jumby Bay Studios took over the building and updated it with all new state-of-the-art equipment. Staff includes industry veterans with 20+ years experience each as well as fresh talent.

Vat19.com received its first visitor in 2001 and is run and operated by Jumby Bay Studios' Owner, Jamie Salvatori.

We write, produce, shoot, and edit all of our DVDs. Sony Disc Manufacturing mass produces all of our DVDs to ensure the highest quality product. You'll never receive a "burned" DVD from us.
