About Vat19.com

In 2001, Vat19.com was launched to promote the sale of our line of independent DVD productions. Popular series such as the Ambient DVDs quickly opened opportunities for Vat19 to leverage its web presence beyond merely selling its own products.

In 2005, in preparation for the busy holiday season, Vat19 introduced its first non-DVD product. Its fireplace-scented candles were an instant hit with its large customer base of video fireplace customers. So, the wise sages at Vat19.com began to search the world for other, "curiously awesome" products to promote.

Our Killer Philosophy

Our killer philosophy is to present killer products with killer photography, killer video, and killer descriptions. Maybe that's overkill.

In all seriousness, we believe shopping should be entertaining and fun. Products should be presented beautifully, be it in still pictures, video, or, in our case, bad writing. We learned a long time ago that if all else fails, employ self-deprecation before others can deprecate you.

The Story Behind the Name

We get asked all the time, "What's with the name? What does Vat19 mean?". Well, we made a video explaining how we came up with our curiously awesome name. Check it out below.

The Studio

All of our product videos and DVDs are shot in our 6,000 square foot soundstage located in suburban St. Louis, MO. This space allows us to beautifully and creatively present our products to our fabulous customers.

The Evil Boss

Vat19.com was started by and is operated by St. Louis native Jamie Salvatori. His philosophy is to create fun, entertaining, and descriptive web pages for each and every curiously awesome product sold on Vat19.com.

Jamie has surrounded himself with fantastic employees who share his passion for finding cool products and creative ways to promote them!
