A: The lid is meant to be used for melting butter, but that doesn't mean you can't add your own sugar, salt, or cheese flavorings after the popcorn is popped! We recommend adding these while the popcorn is still hot, so that they kind of melt into the popcorn. Yum!

Q: is the lid microwave safe?
A: Yes, the lid is microwave and dishwasher safe. The lid is what you'll place your pat of butter in. When it is microwaved, the butter will slowly melt over the popping popcorn, resulting in a delicious batch of goodness. The lid also keeps the kernels from popping out of the popper!

A: Since every microwave is different, you might need to experiment with cooking times to find the perfect time. Be sure to check the power setting and to stop popping when you don't hear rapid popping anymore.

Q: What's the shelf life on that thar popcorn?
A: These popcorn kernels have a shelf life of five years. If the jar is opened but then re-closed tightly, it will not diminish the shelf life. Only if the kernels are left out and not covered or exposed to the air for great periods of time will they lose their moisture content, which is essential for optimum popping results.

Q: Can I use move theater butter (You know, that orangey gross looking butter) with this?
A: We have not tried this, but we think it would be best to either pour it over the popcorn after it has popped or to try putting it in the bottom with the kernels. The melting lid is intended to hold solid butter so it can gradually drip through as it melts.
