Just give it a flip
Simply flip the Graviti Electric Pepper Mill to start grinding. Turn it upright again to stop grinding. So, it basically works just like a regular pepper shaker except that you don't need to shake it.

Adjusting the grind is easy
To adjust the coarseness or fineness (if that's a word) of the grind is simple: twist the knob on the top of the Graviti Electric Pepper Mill.

The Graviti Electric Pepper Mill can grind peppercorn or sea salt.
Adjusting the coarseness of the grind simply requires twisting the knob on the top of the mill.
Ships with pepper. You simply add the batteries...and the gravity
The Graviti Electric Pepper Mill requires 6 AAA batteries. While that may sound like a lot of power, keep in mind that the Graviti Mill is doing some serious work. Too few batteries and the thing wouldn't work properly. While it doesn't ship with batteries (you'll have to supply them yourself), it does ship with pepper. So, once your Graviti Pepper Mill arrives, toss in a few batteries (and a little gravity), and you'll be grinding away in no time.

The Graviti Electric Pepper Mill ships fully stocked with pepper.

Is there something you need to know about this product that we've omitted?
Send us an anonymous question and we promise to answer it within 1 business day. The answer will be displayed below.
Q: Will this work on other planets where the gravity is different?
A: Since you don't say which planets, it's really hard to give a concrete answer about whether or not the Graviti Pepper Mill would work well. On Jupiter, the gravitational pull is roughly 254% of the gravity on Earth. We suspect it would work really well on Jupiter. On other planets, like Mercury, there is less gravity, and your pepper would probably float away anyway.

Q: About how often will the batteries need to be replaced? Will rechargeable batteries damage the unit?

Q: Is this durable enough to grind rock salt?
A: We wouldn't try it. Depending on whether you're using an industrial grade or food grade sample, rock salt can be full of impurities and even pieces of actual rocks like limestone. It's also not particularly tasty. We recommend using your pepper mill with a rock-like salt like kosher salt or coarse sea salt.
