Motion-activated candy dispenser = no bird flu!

Old-fashioned candy dispensers are great... except that every piece of candy you eat has basically taken a germ bath in the fingers of every other person who has used the dispenser. Gross.

With the Candy Magic Motion-Activated Candy Dispenser, you can enjoy delicious candy without fear of catching some mutant strain of influenza.

Simply rest your hand underneath the dispenser and out shoots your candy. Perfect!

Small footprint, big capacity

The Candy Magic Candy Dispenser will only take up 5.5" of space on your desk, but it can store and dispense over 34 ounces of candy! That's just a tad over 1 liter of Reese's Pieces, M&Ms, Skittles, or gumballs!

Adjustable portion control

At Vat19.com, we operate on a scale of 1-10 and do everything at an '11'. However, we realize that not everyone wants an overflowing handful of Skittles. Thankfully, so did the smart folks who designed Candy Magic.

Twist the knob on the base of the unit to select between two portion sizes.

Just think of all that tasty candy!

While it's possible that we have an overactive sweet tooth, it cannot be denied that The Candy Magic, when filled with vibrant and mouthwatering candy, is a thing of beauty.

It was quite the struggle to take the photos below without gorging ourselves on Skittles, Good 'n Plenty, Jelly Beans, and Candy Corn.

The Automatic Candy Dispenser is compatible with many different types of small candies.

You can't eat candy all the time, right?

Nuts make for great snacks, too! Indulge your healthy habits (and reduce the spread of germs) by filling up The Candy Magic with unsalted nuts.

Please note that salt from salted nuts could eventually build up and clog or corrode the mechanism inside.

Candy Magic is also great for unsalted nuts like almonds and peanuts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Didn't you used to sell something just like this that was red and called the Candy Wizard?

Answer: YES! Awesome memory! The Candy Wizard was an amazing candy dispenser, too, but sadly the manufacturer stopped producing it.

The Candy Magic, in our opinion, is superior to the Candy Wizard. We believe the Candy Magic's design is sleeker, the smaller desktop footprint makes it more convenient to store on your desk, and the motion sensor is of a higher quality.

So... it's an upgrade!

Question: Will it work with this candy, that candy, or some other candy?

Answer: We recommend avoiding anything larger than a peanut M&M. We had wonderful success with any candy that size or smaller.

Question: Why can't I use salted nuts?

Answer: Some salt will fall off the nuts and clog up the dispensing mechanism.

Question: Is it easy to clean?

Answer: Yes! You can twist off the clear top for easy access to Candy Magic's insides.

Question: So... will it work with Mike and Ike candy?

Answer: Yes. They're smaller than peanut M&M's, so it'll work without issue.

Question: But what about giant gumballs?

Answer: Are they bigger than peanut M&M's? If they are, then they won't dispense from the Candy Magic.

Where can I buy this awesomeness?

Burning Questions: You Ask and We Answer

Burning Questions: You ask and we answer!
Your questions that have been answered by the Vat19.com staff:
Can I use warheads?
You can use anything you like as long as it's not wet, sticky, or larger than a Peanut M&M.
If i do use salted nuts and it gets clogged, will i be able to clean it?
No, which is why you shouldn't.
Can I use sour candy? Or will it clog up the dispensing like the salt does?
Clogging is definitely an issue still, which is why we do not recommend filling the Candy Magic Dispenser with candies/nuts with any sort of powdery coating.
Will it sense me if I put my face under it, so that the candy will go straight into my math?
You have to really cram your face in there, but yes, it's possible.

No, gummies will clump together and clog the dispenser. I would have answered in binary as well, but come on, at least move up to hex! It's 2013 for goodness sake.
could i put regular sized gummy bears in this or are they to sticky?
Gummies are too sticky to dispense properly. They'll more than likely jam the dispenser.
How sensitive is the sensor? If someone walks pass it, will it dispense the candy? If I wave my hand over it quickly, will candy come out?
The sensor isn't shooting directly out from the unit; it's aimed at a downward angle. It's sensitive enough to know when a hand is underneath it, but not so sensitive that it will be going off all the time whenever someone walks past it.
Will the M&Ms melt in the dispenser and ruin it?
Not unless you stored the Candy Magic someplace hot. There's nothing about the dispenser that will melt candy on its own.
Can you fit the Kit-Kat bites in the candy magic ?
No, they're too large and chocolate melts very easily, which could ruin the dispenser.
Can you use wrapped sweets if they are smaller than peanut m&ms?
Probably not. The wrapper would likely cause it to get stuck in the dispenser.
How many jelly beans do you think this could hold. I know it is 35 oz,but do you know the number of beans? I already have like 6 bags of yall's jelly beans in my cart, but I want to know if I need more. Thanks :)
We don't have an exact count since things like that are always sold by weight, but it would be close to 816 individual beans.
How do you clean it if it gets dirty?
A damp cloth along the inside of the bowl.
Does the machine come with the scoop that was used in the video?
No, the scoop is not included.
Will Peanut M&Ms dispense easily?
Indeed they will, which is why we use them as reference for how big of a piece of candy that the unit can dispense.
Although Mike and Ike's fit, how much will fit?
34 ounces, regardless of the candy. It's sort of like the question of which is heavier, a pound of feathers or a pound of rocks?
What setting did you use at the end of the video? because i would LOVE to have that much candy!
The highest setting, of course!
Will Pretzel M&m's work?
Pretzel M&Ms are a little smaller than Jelly Beans, so yes, they should fit just fine.
How much jelly belly jellybeans could I fill it with?
Approximately 30 ounces worth!
Will vat19 ever get them in different colors? like blue, red etc.
If we do they'll be listed at the top of the page as well, but for now there are no plans for more colors.
Don't you already have an automatic candy dispenser?
Not an automatic one. We used to have a Candy Wizard automatic dispenser, but it was discontinued quite a while ago. We actually prefer the sleeker design of this one anyways.
If it fits 34 ounces, then about how many jelly bean is that? Because I'm planing to put the jelly beans in it when I get them.
One ounce is approximately 20 jelly beans, so that comes to about 782 jelly beans.
Would the beanboozled jellybeans be able to fit inside of this?
They would, much to the dismay of anyone who might try to steal your candy!
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, the Candy Magic Dispenser is not dishwasher safe. If it gets dirty the only thing you can do is wipe out the inside with a moist cloth.
How often do you add products?!!!!
Every week! Make sure that you keep checking back!
will gumballs work?
If they're approximately the same size as a peanut M&M, yes.
can you put mini gumballs in it?
If they're the same size or smaller than a jelly bean or something similar, sure.
What happen to the old one?
The original Candy Wizard was discontinued a long time ago, actually. This one actually works a bit better.
Hey does this Candy Magic require AA batteries?
That's right. We mention this at the top of the page in the Features and Specs section.
Can I put in gummy bears?
Gummy bears tend to be too sticky to dispense properly.
Could I put Jelly Belly's in this dispenser?
You could! In fact, we even have a picture of the dispenser filled with jelly beans on the page above.
Will it work with normal gummy bears?
No. Gummy bears tend to clump/stick together, so they can't be "dispensed".
Is it really germ free?
It's germ free in the sense that the germs on your hands won't contaminate the rest of the jelly beans.
Will it work with rock candy
If you break it up into tiny pieces it might, but then that would kind of defeat the purpose of rock candy. I personally wouldn't risk it.
Can you put jelly bean candy in it?
That shouldn't be a problem but we don't recommend using anything larger than a peanut M&M.
What about peanuts? (without the shells)
As always, if they're the appropriate size and are unsalted/unseasoned, yes.
Is it metal or plastic?
This is plastic.
What batteries do you need in the candy dispenser run on?
Mentioned about in the specs: Requires 4 x AA batteries (not included)
Can I use cinnamon gummy bears
No, gummy bears may clog up the dispensing mechanism.
Does it get stuck frequently?
Not unless you intentionally fill the Magic Candy Dispenser with candy that is too large to fit through the chute. Stick to the recommended sizes that we've discussed on the page above and you'll never have to worry about it getting stuck.
Will it work with anything gummy? You said no to gummy bears but can there be anything gummy?
Did you also see why we said that gummy bears don't work? It's because they're sticky and tend to clump together. It doesn't matter what shape the gummies are.
Can my arm accidentally set off the sensor and pour candy all over my floor?
Not unless you "accidentally" stick your arm directly beneath the dispenser. The Candy Magic Dispenser doesn't activate simply by walking past it.
Could you put in liquids such as soda?
No, the Candy Magic not designed to hold or dispense liquid.
Can you ship it in Georgia? (country Georgia)
Yes, we ship internationally.
Can I put nerds in it?
Nerds might be a little too small. They could get stuck in the dispenser's mechanics.
Will sour skittles work with this?
We don't recommend it. As we mention on the page above, candies or nuts that are coated with powdery substances can cause buildup in the dispenser which could eventually lead to the machine becoming jammed or irreparably damaged.
Candy Magic can go to Ukraine?
Yes, we ship internationally.
Can it sense my dog if he walks by the despenser?
Not unless he sticks his nose or paw directly under the sensor.
How many of the Jelly Belly packages that you sell with the Jelly Belly Bean Machine will fit in it?
Approximately 10 packs.
Cereal? Can I put in cereal?
You can, but we don't recommend putting in anything that will crumble.
What do you think about putting sour patch kids in it?
I would be weary because the sour coating might gunk the machine up.
Are peanut butter m&m's too big?
Those should be okay. In fact, we've long used that exact candy as the maximum size that should be used in the Candy Magic Dispenser.
Can peanut M&M candy fit through the dispenser?
Yep! In fact, we often use that very candy as an example of how big candy can be and still fit through the dispenser.
Why can't you put salted nuts in?
Because the loose salt can build up in the dispensing mechanism and cause it to jam.
How heavy is it?
Not terribly heavy at all. The dispenser itself weighs 29 ounces on its own, though it will be considerably heavier once it is filled with candy.
Does it work with sour patch kids or fruits?
We don't recommend using anything that is sticky, made of gummy, or coated with any sort of powder.
Can you think of anything healthy, besides nuts, that would work in it? Love the responses and general attitude of the site
Maybe sugar-free candies? Eating healthy isn't really our thing, as evidenced by our 26 pound gummy monstrosities.
Is there a warranty? If I have a problem will I be able to speak with a human? What is your return policy?
All of your questions are answered here where we describe our return policy.
Can this be used for drinks? I want to have a little water cooler on my desk and was curious if I could use this to dispense water.
No, the Candy Magic Dispenser cannot hold liquid.
Does it come with candy in it?
Candy is not included with the Candy Magic Dispenser. You will need to find your own with which to fill it.
Are battery's included?
No, the batteries are not included.
Do you think it will work with sour patch kids?
We don't recommend it. Sour Patch Kids are coated with a sour powdery coating which could build up inside the mechanism and damage it.
Is it kosher?
It's a plastic mechanical candy dispenser. Since you're not supposed to eat it, I'm not sure how dietary laws apply.
Can this work when a cup or bowl is placed under the dispenser?
Yes, as long as your cup can be seen by the sensor beneath the dispenser.
Can we put like Wonka Nerds in this?
Sure! Those are smaller than an M&M, so they should work just fine.
can you make vat19 candy that collaborates with the candy dispenser
Vat19 gumballs?! Maybe, I'll ask Jamie.
Can you sell to Britain too not just America please?
We already do! We ship worldwide!
If i put salted nuts . And it crashed the machine how will i be able to fix it?
You can't, which is why we strongly recommend not using salted nuts in the first place.
Is it BPA free plastic?
Yes it is completely BPA free.
Are batteries included?
No, you will need to acquire your own batteries.
Can you put almonds in this or are they too big?
Yep! In fact we have a photo of us doing exactly that on this very page!
Could you fill this with soap and have a mega soap dispenser? Or like a beverage dispenser? Or would that not work
No, that would not work. The Candy Magic Dispenser is not designed to hold liquids.
Can you put regular gummy bears in it?
No. They're too large and too sticky.
I am wanting to buy the Candy Magic as a gift for someone in the same household as I am. Will this be shipped in a nondescript packaging so anyone who sees it will not know what is inside?
All of our packages ship in boxes with the Vat19 name stamped on the sides, but they do not list the contents of the package. The exception to this is for international shipments that require a list of the contents on the outside of the package for Customs clearance.
Can you put brownie crisps in the candy magic dispenser?
No because they are too big.
Is the candy magic motion dispenser BPA free?
That is correct. The Candy Magic Dispenser is 100% food safe.
How could/should I clean the inside or can I even?
In most cases it won't be necessary because you can't use messy candies/foods with the Candy Magic Dispenser. If you really have to then the best way to do it would be with a damp cloth.
Can you get an electric cord for the unit?
No. The Candy Magic Dispenser is battery operated.
Can I put gummy bears in?
You can but they won't come out. Gummy bears are too sticky.
Is it dish washer safe?
No. We recommend cleaning the interior of the bowl with a damp cloth.
Is candy included with this product?
Nope. You'll need to acquire your own candy to fill the Candy Magic Dispenser.
Can you put gummy bears in it?!?!?!? I need them in my life!
Gummies are too sticky to dispense properly. They'll more than likely jam the dispenser.
Is chocolate a bad idea to put in, or could you put small chocolate chips into it?
Chocolate melts, so yes it would be a bad idea. Please only use hard or candy coated candies.
Can you put jelly belles in it
You mean like the ones we have a photograph of halfway down the page? Sure!
What can you do if something gets stuck in the dispenser ?
Try to jiggle it free. This is exactly why we don't recommend using the Candy Magic Dispenser to hold anything larger than a peanut M&M.
How many candies can it dispense?
Depends on the size of the candies. The Candy Magic now features two portion sizes, so that's cool.
When is the average time when the batteries run out?
Depends on the use!
Is there any candy included in the purchase?
You will need to buy your own candy!
Can you use jolly ranchers?
If it is bigger than a peanut M&M, probably isn't going to work.
Would the candy magic machine be able to handle multiple different kinds of candy in the same dispenser, for example M&M’s and skittles?
Yes as long as none of those candies are too large.
Is this unit brand new?
Yes it is. We do not sell used products.
Can you put tic tacks in it, or will it be too small?
That would probably be fine.
Can you put sour patch kids in there?
We're afraid not. Sorry!
Is the flap water tight allowing me to store liquids?
No it is not. You cannot store liquids.
Will chocolate from M&Ms melt when in the Candy Magic Dispenser?
Not unless you leave them in direct sunlight or someplace that is uncomfortably warm, but that would cause M&Ms to melt regardless. In terms of storage it's no more damaging than any other bowl.
hey vat 19... can you put gummy worms in it?? : )
No. Gummy worms would not fit through the dispenser.
Does it work with jelly beans?
Yes it does!
Can I put fish in here? (I ask this a lot no one has answered.)
The dispenser cannot hold water, so no, it cannot hold fish. This is a candy dispenser, not a fish tank.
Will chocolate chips work in this dispenser?
Not very well. We strongly suggest only using candies that don't melt at room temperature.
Does the sensor make a sound when the sensor is activated?
The sensor doesn't, but the motor that controls the dispenser does.
will it work if i mix treats? for examle mike and ike with jelly belly jelly beans?
As long as the individual candies are not too large, sure.
Can you get free shipping to uk?
I'm sorry, but we do not offer free international shipping.
Can you get free shipping in Canada?
I'm sorry, but we do not offer free shipping for international orders.
Can we order out of The usa like england spain Portugal sweden?
Yes, we ship internationally.
hello!! my question is can you add gummy bears?
No. As we've mentioned before, soft candies like that will get stuck in the dispenser.
will the machine struggle with salted cashews?
Yes it will. We mention on the page above that salted, sugar-coated, or other coated snacks can jam the machine.
Will bottle cap candies fit? Kind of a weird comparison to peanut m&ms so wasn’t sure?
Yes, they should fit. You can also visually compare sizes by the foods we used in the promotional photography to get an idea of the largest candies that will fit (Candy Corn, Mike & Ikes, almonds, etc).
My son is obsessed with gummy bears. Will they work in the dispenser? My thought is that they may stick...
You would be absolutely correct. Gummies would stick together and jam the machine.
How much does the candy dispenser fit?
Candy Magic stores 34 ounces of candy (or unsalted nuts!) and dispenses in four user-selectable portion sizes.
can you put raisin in the dispenser or would it jam it
Raisins are soft and tend to clump together. We don't recommend trying it.
Will hard Jolly Ranchers work in there?
No they will not. Jolly Ranchers are far too sticky.
If it gets jammed can I fix it somehow?
If you can dislodge whatever is jamming it before you strip or burn out the dispensing mechanism inside, sure. This is why we recommend sticking to small, non-sticky candies.
Does this candy dispenser have a place in the back such as a power port where you have the option to plug the candy machine in the wall instead of using batteries. Please advise. Thanks
The Candy Magic Dispenser does not have an AC port. It only uses batteries.
I'm looking to put ice-breaker mints in the dispenser. Can you specify the quantity to dispense, i.e., two is enough for mints.
Those may actually be too large. As we've stated previously, anything larger than a peanut M&M will be too big.
Is the Candy Magic made out of plastic?
That's right!
Can I put chopped up oreos or reeses?
No. They would very quickly cause crumbs and melted chocolate to build up in the dispensing mechanism and cause it to jam.
Does the dispenser work with salted nut?
No it does not. Salted nuts can create a buildup of salt in the dispenser which could cause it to clog and/or corrode.
Does it come with candy?
No. You will need to supply your own candy.
Could you put water in it and place a cup under it so you could fill your cup?
No, this is not waterproof in that way.
Hello! Would individually wrapped candies work in the machine? I think the size we have would work, but I've seen other similar products recommending against individually wrapped items.
No, sorry!
Will the candy magic candy dispenser dispense M & M pretzel candies?
Yes, that shouldn't be a problem.
Can you guarantee this will work for jelly beans?
Yes we can. In fact, there's even a picture of the machine dispensing Jelly Beans on the page above.
Should I fill it up with Chiclets?
You are welcome to fill your Candy Magic Dispenser with any appropriately sized candy you like.
Do you think it can dispense herbs?
No, we don't, nor do we think that it would be a very efficient way of dispensing herbs even if it could.
Hey vat19 will you accept british money?
We don't accept cash of any kind. Our site will automatically charge the correct amount to your credit card when you check out online.
Can you put mini marshmallows in it?
Let me put this simply: you cannot reliably use any candies or foods that are soft or sticky because they'll get stuck in the dispenser. This is why we always say not to use foods like gummies, marshmallows, and so on.
Are you sure mike and Ike's work because I watched a video on YouTube and it was going very slow and the biggest setting only gave like 10. ??
Yes they do, which is why you see the dispenser dispensing them in the video. Obviously there will be fewer "large" candies per activation than "small" candies simply because there is a finite amount of space for them to fit through.
Do you ship to Lithuania?
Yes, we ship internationally.
2 questions 1 do you ship to the UK and can you tell me how much this is in pounds?
Yes, we ship internationally. Since exchange rates change all the time we are unable to tell you how much a product costs in GBP, however we will automatically charge the correct amount when you check out online.
Can you pay in english money ?
Actually, we do not accept cash of any kind, so it doesn’t matter what sort of currency your country uses. All of our prices are in US dollars, but we will automatically charge the correct amount when you check out online with your credit card, PayPal, or Amazon account. You can check Google for the current exchange rate before you place your order.
If i had a sweet and put it inside. How long should i wait until i should change the sweet. Because it could go bad
Do sweets normally "go bad?" Most small candies, such as Skittles and M&Ms, have shelf lives of 6 months to a year. Since this is also a relatively airtight container you shouldn't need to worry about that happening.

There's no specific time frame we can give you, but if your candy ever starts tasting funny we suggest just emptying it out and refilling it.
Hi, can it be delivered to Taiwan?
Yes, we ship internationally.
Does it work with liquid (I mean in a little container that will fit) Basically: will continue contained liquid work
No. The Candy Magic Dispenser will not hold or dispense liquid.
Does the machine break if you accidentally place a too big thing there?
It's certainly possible. A more likely outcome is that the candy simply won't fall down chute.
Will it work with the peanut butter m&m's they are a lil larger then others?
Yes. In fact, we've been referring to Peanut M&M's as the largest safe size of candy to use in the dispenser for a long time.
It's spitting out random portions of candy and I lost my owners manual. What do I do
There's nothing that the user's manual can offer. The portion control switch can be found on the side of the dispenser.
I'm guessing it's unsalted nuts because salt will jam it, huh?
Bingo.
Do I have to pay in dollars can I pay in pounds?
Actually, we do not accept cash of any kind, so it doesn’t matter what sort of currency your country uses. We will automatically charge the correct amount when you check out online with your credit card, PayPal, or Amazon account. You can check Google for the current exchange rate before you place your order.
If you live in New Zealand will it arrive and do you get it in a nice backed box so it won't crack or break
Yes, we ship to New Zealand. We take every necessary precaution to make sure that your order arrives safely. The last thing we want to do is have to give out a bunch of refunds and replacements.
Can you sell big bags/boxes of Mike and Ike candy on this site? People can buy it along with the candy magic.
Maybe someday!
Why did you guy discontinued the candy wizard (I liked it because it was able to hold more candy ) ?
It was discontinued by the manufacturer. We had nothing to do with it, we swear!
If I use it 10 times a day, how long will the 4 X AA Batteries last?
A very long time. Sorry, but there's no accurate breakdown of days, hours, and minutes that I can give you. It also depends on the brand of battery you use.
can you mix candy's?
As long as they aren't too large for the dispenser, sure!
Is this a modified version of the candy dispenser you used to have on here?
It's a completely different product but it does the job just as well!
Do you think putting starburst would correctly and properly dispense out?
No they would not. Starburst are far too large. The candies we show in our photos are as big as we recommend.
What to do if it stops working?
In most cases we would recommend checking the batteries.
Does this require assembly?
No. The only things you will need to do is install the batteries and put the lid on after you've filled the dispenser.
Is it difficult to clean?
Only if you fill it with something messy, which we recommend avoiding.
can you put in sweet tarts??
If they're the small ones, yes!
Will it dispense chocolate acorns and other candies like that?
This dispenser will struggle with anything larger than a peanut M&M.
Can you ship it to Australia?
Yes, we ship internationally.
Do you ship to United Kingdom
Yes, we ship internationally.
Is it sanitary?
It is! With this product you won't have strangers dipping their filthy fingers into your bowls of candy.
If i choose the bowl option and ive had enough candy, can i move the bowl and it stops dispensing?
No. Each setting is a preset serving size, which means it will dispense that amount every time regardless of whether or not you keep the bowl there.
What if your pet walked near it or stuck it’s nose under it to sniff what it was, and candy cane out? Is there a way to stop that from happening?
Yes, by putting it out of reach of your pets.
On Christmas will the prices be lower?
We don't run site-wide sales; instead, we send out coupons in each installment of our free email newsletter. Click here to sign up!
Would dippin' dots work with this?
No, for two reasons:

1. They need to be kept cold so that they don't melt.
2. Dippin' Dots are so small that they can jam the dispensing mechanism.
Can it serve liquid ?
No, it cannot hold liquids.
Can it dispense candy corn?
Yep! In fact, one of the pictures on the page above shows the Candy Magic Dispenser filled with candy corn.
Could you clean it by putting water into it then dispensing the water out like candy?
No, that would ruin the electronics inside the dispenser. It would also be completely unnecessary since the kind of candies it was meant for aren't messy.
Can it have multiple types of candies. For example, m&m's and skittles?
As long as they're not too large, sure.
Are there any other colors?
The Candy Magic Dispenser is only available in black.
Can you put starbursts in them?
Starbursts would be too large. Anything larger than a Peanut M&M would more than likely be too large to fit down the chute.
Can I put peanuts in it?
As long as they're shelled and unsalted/unseasoned, yes.
How do I change the batteries?
The battery compartment is located on the base of the unit. Simply open the compartment and install the new batteries.
Does it work with Nerds?
Nerds are almost too small as they can jam the dispenser the same way salt and granulated sugar can.
What is it charged on?
The Candy Magic Dispenser isn't charged on anything. It is powered by 4 x AA batteries (not included).
Can you put mini Oreos?
You cannot use any food or candy that is larger than a peanut M&M. If what you have in mind is larger than a peanut M&M then it will not fit.
I put TicTacs in here. Will they work with the Magic?
Probably. Since you've already done it, turn the machine on and see!
Will it work with sprinkles?
Not very well. Food items that are too small, such as sprinkles, can easily cause the dispenser to jam by working their way into the moving parts.
Can it work with candies that are individually wrapped, like a toxic waste or warhead?
Not reliably, especially if the wrapping extends beyond the candy itself.
Hey Vat19, how long will 4 AA batteries last for?
There isn't a specific number of hours or days that we can give you because it will depend on how often you use it and the size of the servings. Regardless, a set of batteries should last quite a long time before needing to be replaced.
Will M&M peanut be able to dispense through the dispenser?
It will. In fact, we've often cited peanut M&Ms as being the largest size candy that the dispenser can handle.
Do you guys take Malaysia money?
We don't accept cash of any kind, however our site will automatically charge the correct amount when you enter your credit card, PayPal, or Amazon information.
Can you put cereal in it?
You can, but we recommend against it. Cereal is crumbly and it could cause a buildup of cereal dust in the dispenser that could cause it to jam.
Does M&M Peanut work with this?
Yes they do. In fact, we've been using peanut M&Ms as a reference to describe the maximum size a candy can be to be dispensed properly.
Is the container plastic or glass?
Plastic. Glass wouldn't be safe for kids.

Can we put in cashew nuts???
Cashews might work, though some could be too large. You're welcome to try as long as they're unsalted.
Can you use Trolli Eggs in it?
Maybe. We don't have the ability to test every candy in the world, so we've been using the same guideline for this question every time it pops up:

Is the candy the same size or smaller than a peanut M&M? If yes, it will fit. If no, it will not.
Why unsalted nuts instead of salted nuts?
Because salt can build up inside the dispenser and jam the mechanics.
Does it work fine when turned on its side? What about upside down?
No. The dispenser relies on gravity to move the candy through the chute.
My mom loves jelly beans and I want to get this but how many jelly beans will it give me on the low setting?

Can you use a plug adapter ?
No. You just need.4 x AA batteries

Will this keep my peanut mms fresh?
Yes it will!
How do I clean it?
Simply remove the lid and wipe the inside clean.
What do you do if it gets clogged?
As long as your candy is the appropriate size it shouldn't be a problem. If it does happen then you will more than likely be able to dislodge it with a bit of percussive maintenance.
Haw do you remove batteries? I think they must be rusted or something. I can't pull them out.
They should just pop out. Batteries don't rust, though they can corrode. If you can't do it with your finger, then you might want to try prying them out with a flathead screwdriver.
Would this work for Buncha Cruncha pieces?
The chocolate would get too melty regardless of their size, so no.
Will chocolate inside candies like m&ms or reese pieces melt and mess up the dispenser?
No because those candies have hard candy shells. If it's hot enough in your home or office to completely melt an M&M, then you might want to consider spending your money on an air conditioner.
Can I put treats in it for cats ?
Dry pet food is too crumbly to work in the Candy Magic Dispenser. It's also not meant for cats, so we can't even say whether or not it will work.
Can you use crispy M&M'S?
Be our guest!
Is it possible to put Nams Bits into the candy dispenser, and have it still dispense it properly? Btw, I love you guys!!!
No. Nam's Bits are too large and too crumbly.
What if your hands are dirty? I think that it may be unsanitary.
How so? Your hands never come into contact with the machine or the candy that remains in the dispenser, so any filth that might be on your hands won't be transmitted to the stored candy or anyone who eats it after you. Besides, it's not the machine's fault if you have dirty hands.
Would this be able to handle trail mix - even if it is unsalted, the mix tends to have small bits and I was wondering if that will mess with the dispensing mechanism.
Small bits are exactly the sort of thing you need to avoid. If the food in question is coated in a granular substance (salt, sugar, etc), becomes granular, or is generally tiny it can clog the dispenser.
Does the candy fall out if you shake it violently?
Nope. You need to actually activate the dispenser for candy to come out.
Do you guys from Vat19 ship to Morocco?
We're sorry but Morocco is not included among the list of countries to which we offer shipping.

It's certainly possible, so we suggest that you do everything in your power not to drop or throw your candy dispenser around. Just leave it on your desk or table and everything should be A-OK.
Does This work with liquids?
Nope. Sorry.
Why can't nuts be salted if used in this device?
As we've explained previously, the problem with salted nuts is that the salt does not stay ON the nuts. The loose salt can build up inside the dispensing mechanism and cause it to jam.
Would Mentos fit through the gap?
Mentos are quite a bit too large. Anything larger than Peanut M&Ms might get stuck in the chute.
Will it work with gummy bears? Or will it just stick to the dispense part of this mechanism?
No, the dispenser does not work with gummies for the exact reason you provided.
Can you use pistachios to put in it?
You can, but it may cause a buildup of salt or plant matter in the dispenser which may cause it to jam.
Can you use candy corn?
Yep! In fact, we have a photo of a Candy Magic Dispenser filled with Candy Corn about half way down the product page.
can you put Nam's bits in it? or are they too big? (I don't have any to compare them to a peanut m & m)
Nam's Bits are far too large. You can tell from the video and photos on the Nam's Bits page that they're quite a bit larger than M&Ms.
Does it have the ability to have ac power I have one that does that is a candy magic dispenser?
The Candy Magic Dispenser does not use AC power. It can only be powered by four AA batteries.
Why don't you accept cash? How do you pay for it? By the way,it is awsome

Do you need to put batteries in?
That is correct.
Will it dispense Pretzel M&Ms?
Presumably. Unfortunately I have no pretzel M&Ms to test this with, but it won't hurt for you to try at home. The worst case scenario is that they'll simply be too large to fit through the dispenser.
what candies are in the pictures?
M&Ms, Skittles, jelly beans, candy corn, Mike & Ikes, and Reese's Pieces.

Can I use Hot Tamales.
They should fit since they're the same size as the Mike & Ikes pictured above.
Will the machine stay intact if it falls about at a desk height?
That depends on what sort of surface it's landing on. If it's full and lands on a hard surface (tiling, concrete, etc) it may break. You can avoid this by not placing the Candy Magic Dispenser precariously on the edge of a desk.
Does it make a noise when you despence something? And also how many Vat19 products do you have altogether?
As of April 2014, there are approximately 510 different products, but we add more all the time! As for the noise the Candy Magic Dispenser makes, it's just a soft whirring noise followed by the tumbling of hard candies.
Dear Vat19, Do you have tours that you do throughout your warehouse/etc.?
Can you dispense gummy bears or are they too sticky?
They're too large AND too sticky.
Why did the company stop making the other candy dispenser? Was there a problem with the dispenser?

dose it come with candy?
It does not come with candy, but we have plenty to choose from! (Any of the Jelly Bellies would be a good fit)

Can I use regular size double bubble gumballs?
We recommend avoiding anything larger than a peanut M&M. So if they are under that size, yes!
If my cat sticks his head under the sensor, will candy come out hitting his head?

We don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to use Skittles.

Any time you want to have candy available, but don't want people to stick their grubby hands in your candy dish.
If I choose to get a large amount of candy, but I pull away my hand midway, will it keep coming out or will it stop?
It will. Each setting is essentially a "burst" of candy which is activated by placing your hand beneath the sensor.

Probably not. Jolly Ranchers are too sticky and Oreos would eventually jam the dispenser as they crumble.
Is it ant proof?
No, nor does it need to be. If you have that many ants in your house, then you have a greater problem on your hands.
Can you use peanut M&Ms?
Yes you can. In fact, that very candy has been our standard unit of measurement for how large a candy can be to fit in this dispenser.
When the switch goes all the way does it go like a never ending water fall of candy like what Eric did?
No, that was just for comedic effect. The largest serving is generous, but it's not never-ending.

The same can be said of any candy. Don't put your candy dispenser in direct sunlight or in front of a heater, and you won't have to worry about it.

Not when used properly. Don't fill the dispenser with anything that is too large and you won't need to worry about jams.

By jamming. We do not recommend candies larger than a Mike & Ike or Peanut M&M.

As long as they are relatively small, sure.
From my experience eating M&M's, they can sometimes crumble a little bit when left for a while (not in sunlight) on the desk. When in the machine, would the crumbley bits clog it?
No. M&Ms usually only crumble when jostled around together over long periods of time, but even then the M&M shards aren't too big to pose any sort of problem.
Will M&M pretzels work in the dispenser?
Pretzel M&Ms are a little smaller than Jelly Beans, so yes, they should fit just fine.
Can you put astrorox ice-cream drops in the magic dispenser?? Thanks
You can put anything you like in Candy Magic as logn as it's the same size or smaller than a peanut M&M. With that being said, Astrorox are simply dehydrated nuggets of ice-cream; once they absorb the ambient humidity in the air they will begin to get soft and sticky.
Will sunflower seeds (without the shell) will work ?
Yes as long as they're plain/unsalted.
My candy magic turns on but won't dispense why?
It may be too bright where you're attempting to use it. We noticed that the dispenser sometimes wouldn't work if it was in direct sunlight or under very bright lights.
We'll, sence some people don't wash their hands properly wouldn't their hands still be dirty when they get candy/unsalted nuts?
The point is to avoid cross contamination.
Can i put some breakfest kellogg's in it

We don't recommend anything with a coating that can come off easily (like salt or seasoning) because it can negatively impact the inside parts of the machine.

Does this also work with cookie dough bites, fudge brownie cookie dough bites, birthday cake cookie dough bites, etc.
Those items are not recommended as they may clog up the machine.
Can gumballs fit?
If they are smaller than a peanut M&M, they should! Gumballs come in all different sizes.

Jelly Belly would work, but the eggs I think would be too big.
will it work with malted milk balls or jorden almonds?
Those might be a little large.
How long until the battery power runs out.
There's no concrete answer for that because the dispenser is not always on. How long the batteries last will depend entirely on the quality of the batteries and how often you use the dispenser.
Can it dispense cereal?
We only recommend using candy.
Can I get this item delivered to the UK?
Yes, we ship internationally.
Can this be used with cat treats?
We don't recommend it. Crumbly food can break apart and clog the machine.

The entire body of the machine is made of plastic.
Could this work for pistachios?
Yes if they're shelled, skinned, and unsalted.
Can you dispense gummy bears in this machine
No. Gummies are too soft and sticky.
Can I use this for cat food, so I can serve it to my cats quicker?
It wouldn't be quicker at all, honestly. The portion sizes aren't big enough to quickly fill an entire bowl of food. There's also the issue of the crumbs and powder inherent to dry pet food which could jam the dispenser.

Automated pet feeding is a thing for which other products already exist. If this is what you're going for, then you might want to seek those out instead of repurposing a candy dispenser.
Is it good for mini gumballs
They'd have to be very small gumballs, but you could do that if you like.
Does the light of the candy dispenser check if ou washed your hands or not ?
No it does not. Even if you have grimy, disgusting hands it's okay because you never have to touch the machine to get candy out.

As long as they're not too large, sure.
Does it work with nerds?

We're only a retailer, so we are unable to offer any sort of branding or customization. Sorry!
Can i put spitballs and small paper balls in this
Only if they're the same size or smaller than a Peanut M&M. Even then we're not too sure if it will work. Regarding Spitballs, the moisture necessary to make them grow isn't good for the electronics in the dispenser.
Will come with the candy?
No. You will need to provide your own candy.
Will it work with cat food?
Technically yes, but dry pet food is crumbly. Those crumbs can build up inside the dispenser and cause it to clog.
If this is not in a hot place, would you be able to put chocolate chips in it? (Just curious. :3)
We don't recommend it.
Can you put gummy bears in it?
No. Gummy Bears are sticky and will clump up inside the dispenser.
How does the infrared sensor works? Thanks for the answer.
Pretty much the same as all other sensors. It emits an infrared beam which, when interrupted, triggers the dispenser.

They should. If the candy you have in mind is the same size or smaller than the candies we've already listed as being the largest compatible size, they will work just fine.

We have no idea how big your locker is. Please refer to the dimensions we've included at the top of the page.
Does it need to be plug in?

No they would not. As we've mentioned previously, the Candy Magic Dispenser can only dispense candies the size of a Peanut M&M or smaller.
Is the dispenser durable?
It's durable enough to sit on your desk and dispense candy. The Candy Magic wasn't designed to be thrown around or hit with things.

Plastic. Glass is too easy to break.
Are salted peanuts able to cause it to jam the Candy Magic?
Yes, which is why we suggest not using them in the Candy Magic Dispenser.
Would it work when you hold a bowl under the sensor?
Sure, but it would be a really inefficient and time consuming way to fill a bowl.
Will a cat walking past it set it off to spill candy ?
Yes, if your cat crosses its motion sensor the dispenser could start. Unless your cat’s stealth mode is legit. Better keep paws away if you want the candy safe.

I think the gummy bears would be too soft, and the tootsie rolls too big for this machine.
is this going to work with jelly belly jelly beans and can i use dots gumdrops in it?
It will definitely work with jelly belly jelly beans. The only concern with dots is their size and they could get stuck in the machine.
Will it work with Jelly Beans? Jelly belly to be specific.
It will work with Jelly Belly!
Can you put cheerios in the dispenser? Or any cereal? You guys are the best YouTubers in the whole wide world!
We wouldn't use cereal, as the crumbs could eventually build up and clog or corrode the mechanism inside.
Can you use nams bits brownie bites?
Those are far too large.
I put m&m peanuts in it and all it would dispense was one or two not matter the setting. what can i do to correct it?

Does this have place for a confectionery in this dispenser? Does it have enough size?
No. The Candy Magic Dispenser is only available in one size, which is what you see here.
We have one but the top broke. Do you sell a replacement top? If yes, how much.
We're sorry, but we do not carry replacement parts. We would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer to see if they can offer assistance.
Can you place 'Cookie Dough Bites' in this machine?
We don't recommend it. The chocolate can very easily melt and make a mess of the inside of the dispenser.
Does it come with any snacks?
Nope. You'll have to get your own candy!
I have an older model which inserts the batteries vertically but I can't find how to put them in, any ideas?
We don't carry that model, so we can't say for sure. If there isn't a battery compartment to open then you may want to contact the manufacturer.
Can I use it for choco nonos ...they are gluten and dairy free candy...you can google and see so you can tell me if they can be used
That shouldn't be a problem. I had never heard of Choco No Nos before and upon Googling them I don't think my life will be complete until I eat all of them.
Is it perfect for gummy bears or gummy worms? I'm talking about the small gummy candy not big gummy candy.
Nope. Gummy candies are too soft and too sticky and will not dispense properly.

No. Grainy or "dusty" food items like pet food can cause buildup in the dispenser which could ruin it.
Will there be a water or beer version for this? (if you do,rename it also!)
Those already exist; they're called water coolers and kegs. We're not a manufacturer so unfortunately we can't make new versions of products.

Yes and yes.
Does it work with chocolate?

Will pretzel m&m's work? (They are about the same size as peanut m&m's)
If they're the same size then yes!
Will gumdrops work?
Gumdrops are too large. Sorry!

We're not a manufacturer but if we ever see something particularly interesting we'll be sure to check it out.
How do you clean it and is the guts of the Candy Magic fragile (Meaning if it's shook around, can it malfunction).
A damp cloth should suffice, as candies such as Skittles and M&Ms don't usually get their containers very dirty. The Candy Magic isn't fragile, but obviously you should avoid intentionally throwing it around or dropping it.
Will M&M Minis work or will they fall into the guts of the machine
M&M Minis are fine. It's only grainy things, such as sugar and salt, that you need to worry about jamming the mechanics.
