On its own, I wouldn't trust a single chopstick over a samurai sword if I found myself in a knife fight. However, when properly configured, these recycled chopsticks create one tough basket.

Choose from two sizes

The Chopstick Folding Basket is available in two sizes: medium and large. They are both 14" long (when unfolded), but the large is four inches wider and an inch deeper than the medium size.

For display or decoration purposes, you may find the medium size to be the perfect accent piece. For holding fruit or baked goods, we suggest the large size. However, either size is adequate for any storage task.

It depends on which chopsticks you are talking about. These are bamboo chopsticks and many disposable chopsticks are made from wood.
It looks like the surface of the basket touching the table is rounded; does it tip over easily?
Nope. As you can see, we loaded the Recycled Chopstick Baskets up with all kinds of different things of varying weights (fruit, muffins, ornaments, a weight) and they remained perfectly stable.
What if 30lbs was put on it?
You will probably break your Chopstick Folding Basket.
how can i make this?
We do not make this item, so we aren't sure exactly how it is made. But we know you'd have to collect a bunch of chopsticks and some fishing line.

You can wash the Chopstick Basket with dish soap and water. Just be sure it is completely dry before putting it away.

Sorry, we don't have a way of knowing an exact answer to that. "One" might be a good guess since these are disposable chopsticks that were likely to have only been used once at a restaurant and discarded.
does "recycled" mean that they have been used to eat with or does it mean that you took some wook that was recycled and formed them into a chopstick basket?
"Recycled", in this case, means that the chopsticks were once used by patrons in a restaurant. But don't worry, they have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at very high temperatures and pressure.
Does the large sized basket come in red or black?
Sorry, but our Chopstick Folding Baskets are not available in multiple colors.
I noticed that there was some sort of wood or metal attaching the chopsticks together. Is this recycled, too? And if it's not, will you please do it for me? Pwease? Make the material attaching the chopsticks recycled? Please?
The chopsticks are held together by fishing line, not wood or metal. The fishing line is new and not recycled. Since the fishing line is what holds the entire basket together, you wouldn't want line that may have been compromised and could result in breakage or a weaker basket.
Are the chopsticks 100% clean I'm OCD ?
Yes. We wouldn't sell them if they were unsanitary in any way.
Can you take chopsticks out of it?
It's made of chopsticks. To remove them would be to disassemble and therefore ruin the basket.
What if the chopstick were used by people who has HIV/AIDS?
HIV/AIDS isn't spread through saliva. Furthermore, it's not as if the chopsticks were dug out of the garbage, assembled, and sent back out. They have been extensively cleaned and sterilized.
Can you used these to hold forks?
Chopstick Folding Baskets can be used to hold almost anything you want as long as it doesn't exceed the weight limit.

Maybe. We use generic, royalty free music in most of our videos, so it's not uncommon to hear familiar tunes from video games and commercials. The jingle was performed by one of Jon's good friends.
Could I use this as a pillow in my hammock?
Something tells me that a basket made of chopsticks isn't going to make a terribly comfortable pillow.

We hope your Chopstick Basket doesn't break! We don't see why you couldn't use these chopsticks as actual chopsticks. You'd be recycling something that was already recycled! Cool!

The maximum weight for the medium size is 10 pounds; 15 pounds for the large basket. That means that the medium basket can hold two WLGBs and the large basket can hold three.
Will other people's SPIT be all over my basket?
Ew, no! The chopsticks are thoroughly cleaned and treated, so there is no need to worry.
Can they be washed in a dish washer (repeatedly)? and could they serve I don't know steak?
According to the manufacturer, you can wash them in the dishwasher, but hand-washing is better for them and is recommended. If serving steak (or anything juicy/greasy/messy), we suggest lining the baskets with parchment paper, wax paper, or foil.
Can they hold a coconut?
I don't see why not. Coconuts aren't particularly heavy.

The heat, steam, and pressure is what destroys any icky stuff. It's done with large tumbling machines.

No. The manufacturer has plenty!
Can it break if dropped.
The Chopstick Folding Basket is pretty durable, but if you dropped it from a high enough place and with enough weight in it, it could break. The simplest solution is simply not to drop it when it is full of fruit.

Yes, they are recycled, sanitized, and cleaned.
How come the little one has a small paper and the big one doesn't?
They both have a paper label, but we removed one for the sake of the photographs.
Could I put potpourri in it?
Of course! Unless you have some bizarre local law which would prevent you from doing that, in which case you should fight the power.
Do you have small sizes? My mom has LOTS of clutter in her house, so we need a small size for her b-day.

The Chopstick Baskets are compostable, not recyclable.
Are the chopsticks used to make these chopstick baskets bamboo or wood?
The baskets are made from recycled bamboo chopsticks, which are better than wooden ones. Bamboo is harder and more durable.
