Overview

“Guys, I can fly!” “Yeah, but you have non-retractable fifty-foot wings!” “And every time you land you break your ankles!”

This is the game of Stipulations. Grab a group of friends and read out one of the announcements from the card deck. The other players will each devise a creative stipulation to your newfound superpower, lifetime supply item, job, or fulfilled dream, rendering it less awesome and more hilarious. As the judge, you get to pick the condition you'd least like to have affect your newfound jackpot. Bonus cards can be awarded for the funniest, most offensive, or most creative stipulations.

So gather 'round and ruin someone's big announcement in the most hilarious way possible.

You get to play a game but...

...you can only win by being the best at bringing everybody down!

Stipulations is the game where a card drawn from the deck gives a prompt that you've got to creatively shoot down with a strange stipulation. For example, if somebody drew a card and announced to you that they have an unlimited lifetime supply of breath mints, you'd need to figure out how to ruin the good news. Maybe their breath mints are the size of tractor tires. Or maybe they make you burp uncontrollably. However you decide to bring down the breath mint boast, you've got to choose something that will make the announcer judge your card as the best at ruining the announcement, and they'll award you a point!

It's a fun game but...

...it still has rules. Each card has a superpower, lifetime supply item, job, and fulfilled dream listed on it.

The card reader proudly announces their new good fortune to the group, and you compete by writing the most unfortunate stipulation that you can think of on your personal erase board. The card reader then judges the stipulation that does the best job at ruining their announcement, and that person gets a point!

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Why is there an age rating? Is there explicit content in the game?

Answer: The makers of the game assume you'd need a certain level of maturity to be able to play the game in a fun way, but if you think somebody younger could pick it up, they're welcome to try. There's not really anything particularly inappropriate about the prompt announcements.

Question: How many people can I play with?

Answer: The game allows for 4-8 players.
