Overview:

The Accutire Programmable Digital Tire Pressure Gauge is a simple and easy-to-use tire gauge. It features a large, backlit LCD screen as well as a flashlight aimed in the same direction as the nozzle.

In addition to having an accuracy of half a PSI, this tire pressure gauge is digital...and it beeps! So what, right? Well, unlike a pen style gauge in which you're never really sure if you got an accurate reading, the Accutire Digital Tire Gauge beeps to verify it has received a proper reading. The reading is clearly displayed for 10 seconds before the unit automatically shuts off to preserve battery life. Batteries are included and can be replaced.

The Accutire Programmable Digital Tire Gauge allows you to set the recommended tire pressure for your front and rear tires. We'll admit that before we saw this product, we didn't know they should be different. Since this is a programmable tire gauge, when you check your tire pressure, you can easily compare it to the recommended pressure without trying to dig out your owner's manual. On some cars, the proper values are listed on the side of the driver's door.

Q: we need a digital pressure sensor for our mechanical engineering project. how long does it take for the sensor to react and display the pressure? or, how long does it take to refresh?
A: The pressure is displayed within a couple seconds. You can see a real-time example in the video above. You can immediately move to the next tire to get a new pressure reading.

Q: The CR2032 batteries are 3 volts. If installed stacked, you have a 6 volt system. Side by side, it may be a split system. CAN YOU DETERMINE THIS??
A: The CR2032 3-volt batteries are stacked on top of each other in the Accutire Digital Tire Gauge. So, yes, you do have a 6-volt system.

Q: How do I switch the gauge from BAR readings to PSI?
A: Press the "SET" button to activate all digits until "0.0" appears. Press and hold the "SET" button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode. The unit "PSI" or "BAR" appears and blinks. Press the Up/Down button to switch between PSI and BAR. Then press the "SET" button to confirm. You will be in the setting mode, so the tires will light up and blink for you to set their recommended pressures. You can either go ahead and set these or just press the "SET" button until you are out of setting mode.

Q: Does it have a voice reading?
A: No, the Accutire does not have a voice reading, but it does have a digital reading with a backlit display.

Q: What is voltage of lithium batts used in unit? May rechargable NiMH batts be substituted?
A: The Accutire Digital Tire Gauge is 3 volts. No, you cannot use rechargeable batteries with this tire gauge. Our manufacturer is fairly certain that 3-volt NiMH batteries do not exist.

Q: Does it need electronic re-calibration?
A: No, the Accutire Digital Tire Gauge should not need electronic re-calibration. The only thing that could cause inaccuracy or damage is if the battery is removed from the circuit board. This will cause the Accutire to lose all of its memory and therefore become useless. If you experience any problems with your Accutire, please contact us, as this item has a 5-year warranty from the manufacturer.
