Overview:

Any toy that can weaponize a marshmallow is a must-have in our book. The Marshmallow Bow & Mallow is just like a traditional bow and arrow set except for the whole shooting-your-eye-out and permanently-bruising-your-hand-from-string-whiplash parts.

The Bow and Mallow can shoot up to 30 feet and can hold 25 mini marshmallows in its magazine. For ages 6+.

Features & specs:

  • 34" x 14" (fully assembled)
  • Requires assembly (takes about 5 minutes)
  • Ammo is not included (shoots mini marshmallows)
  • Shoots up to 30 feet (in our tests, we shot it 33 feet)
  • Ages 6+
  • Dishwasher safe

It's a bow and arrow that shoots marshmallows. Do we really need to "sell" you on this?

While most of the products on our website are pretty darned spiffy, the Marshmallow Bow and Mallow sits high upon the Hill of Awesomeness (located in Macon, GA) where it deftly punishes all who approach with a barrage of mini marshmallow goodness.

Bow and arrows are cool, but they're hard to use. Not so with the Marshmallow Bow and Mallow. Anyone can use this toy (provided that they don't eat all of their mini marshmallows prior to loading their magazine).

Your questions that have been answered by the Vat19.com staff

Q: Will you all make like a machine gun like marshmallow shooter like what al capone used? I don't know the actual name of it but its called the Chicago Typewritter in Resident Evil 4. Shooting 50 m/s.
A: That does sound kind of cool.

Q: Can it shoot flaming marshmallows?
A: Probably not. The marshmallows shoot out from the tube. If they were on fire, they'd melt and get stuck in the tube.

Q: You sho!uld have mallow catapult or a mallow grenade!
A: We already do! Well, sort of. Our Wooden Catapult is more than capable of firing marshmallows. As far as a mallow grenade, well, we can only dream.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: Can it shoot stuff besides marshmallows?
A: Although we didn't try to shoot anything else other than mini marshmallows from our Marshmallow Bow and Mallow, you might be able to shoot other stuff out of it. Shoot at your own risk. You've been warned!
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: can you make it hold more?
A: We suppose creative minds could come up with a way to rig the Bow & Mallow so that it holds more "ammo". In your alterations, though, you'll want to make sure that only one marshmallow drops at a time.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: I think I'm going to use one of these to fire popcorn at a movie screen during a showing of "Twilight" or "High School Musical". Do you approve?
A: We have not tried to shoot popcorn using the Bow and Mallow. Could you also attack during "Mamma Mia" and "Yes Man"?
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: There are worse ways to get your eyes poked out. Are there plans for a full-size marshmellow bow shooter? A shotgun version? A full-auto version?
A: In late spring we will have a Marshmallow Blaster (shotgun shape) that shoots big marshmallows. Is it going to be awesome? Heck yes! You can subscribe to Vat19's RSS feed or sign up for our twice-monthly customer emails to stay updated on new product additions.

A: You can buy the Bow and Mallow right here at Vat19.com! We don't know if any major retailers sell this item.

Q: would this work with peanuts?
A: We've never tried, but we don't see why not.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: where can i get a replacement ammo magazine?
A: If your ammo magazine for the Marshmallow Bow and Mallow arrived damaged or has become cracked during use, please give us a call at 800-476-1991. We'll look up your order and arrange for a replacement to be sent to you. Additional "spare" magazines are not available for purchase.

Q: What should I do with my life?
A: Buy a Bow & Mallow. The rest will fall into place.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: I read an answer here saying that this bow will not shoot normal gummy bears. What about the "World's Largest Gummybear"? (Preferably Green Apple)
A: No, the Marshmallow Bow & Mallow definitely cannot fit a WLGB into the ammo tube, no matter what flavor it is.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: can you make the Marshmallow Bow shoot two at a time?
A: We don't really see how this is possible, unless you are using those super tiny marshmallows you sometimes see in hot chocolate. But we're not sure those would shoot very well. If you practiced a lot, you could develop your rapid-fire skills and make it seem like you're shooting two at once!
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: does it shoot all 25 marshmallows at the same time or one at a time
A: The marshmallows shoot one at a time. Although you can achieve rapid-fire with practice.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: would it hurt if you hit someone 5 feet away? and how well is the aim?
A: It shouldn't hurt, as marshmallows (well, fresh ones) are squishy and have lots of give. Now if you get pelted by stale marshmallows, that might sting a bit. As for the aim, that kind of depends on the shooter.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: Me and my buddy got two of these awesome products and I attached a flame to the front of the barrel so the match doesn't stop the marshmallow movement, but burns! But we were very cautious about fire!
A: We agree that the Marshmallow Bow & Mallow is in fact awesome. However, we do not condone the use of fire with this item. We're glad you were cautious, but kids, please do not try this at home.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: My marshmallows keep getting sticky and plugged up in the tube and the firing chamber....any tips??
A: Squeeze the marshmallows and roll them between your fingers before you put them into the tube. This ensures jam-free firing.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: this is a marketing scheme!
A: The Marshmallow Bow & Mallow ain't no scheme. This bad boy is real and ready for shooting out some mini mallows.
Was this question useful to you? Yes | No

Q: Will it shoot gummy bears?
A: Although we haven't tested the Marshmallow Bow & Mallow with gummy bears, we think it would probably work.
