A: The Snail Tape Dispenser was not designed for use with masking tape. It might work, but that would partly depend on the size and width of the roll of tape.

A: Nope, the base is weighted so it stays steady while you pull the tape out.

Q: How do you load the tape into it? A regular tape dispenser has a drop and slide forward set-up so that the tape doesn't jump out when trying to take a piece of tape.
A: The wheel "clips" down inside to hold it in place (you'll feel the wheel catch as you push it down) and lifts up so you can remove it and load the tape.
