Overview:

The Cordless Warming Tray is a portable tray designed to keep foods warmer, longer. Simply plug it in for 8 minutes and it will remain warm for 60 minutes after being unplugged. Use it to keep party foods heated or to keep your dinner dishes piping hot when served buffet style.

The ample surface is evenly heated. When plugged in, it maintains a temperature of approximately 200 degrees. An automatic temperature control prevents overheating.

No more cold dishes with the Cordless Warming Tray

The Cordless Warming Tray is an attractive warming tray that doesn't require constant power or worse yet, a burning flame resting underneath. Plug it in for about eight minutes in your kitchen and then transport it to your dining room, buffet table, or outdoor deck. It'll remain hot for a full hour. Of course, if you wish to leave it plugged in, you needn't worry about overheating. The thermostat will automatically turn the unit on and off to maintain a comfortable temperature.

Simple and easy way to keep your food warm

The Cordless Warming Tray is incredibly easy to use. Simply plug in the detachable cord. And that's it. There's nothing else you need to do...except wait the eight minutes for it to heat up. The two lights on the front of the tray indicate when the power is on (red light) and when the tray is fully heated (green light).

The surface of the warming tray evenly distributes the heat. We used an infrared thermometer to verify that the surface only fluctuates about 10 degrees (or less than 5% of the maximum temperature) across its entire width.

Of course we ran some tests!

We love to test out anything that heats or cools. We were so pleased with the results from this Cordless Warming Tray, that we simply had to carry it.

The graph below shows the surface temperature of the Cordless Warming Tray after it had been pre-heated for eight minutes and was then unplugged.

Obviously, after you remove the heat source, the temperature of the tray is going to decline. However, after 20 minutes, it was still a piping hot 140 degrees! Many meats are ready to cook in the 140-160° range. That means the Cordless Warming Tray can keep them at the perfect temperature for at least twenty minutes.

After an hour has passed, you're still benefiting from the eight minutes spent warming the tray. Although 100° isn't blazingly hot, it's still going to keep your appetizers and side dishes warmer than room temp.

Q: Can you even put plastic plates on it..and will they melt afterwords...???
A: No, plastic plates should not be put on the Cordless Warming Tray. The tray can reach temperatures of 300 degrees Fahrenheit, which could melt plastic.

Q: How hot does the surface under the warming tray gets? Concerned about damaging a wooden surface.
A: The manufacturer does not have an exact measurement of the degree of heat that radiates from the bottom of the tray. However, we can confirm that there have never been any complaints about the item damaging wooden surfaces. The feet of the tray do not conduct heat and therefore remain cool to the touch. Since they are the only part of the tray that touches the surface of your table, you should not experience any problems.

Q: Can it be used to cook nomal stuff too like a egg? or can it just keep food warm (which is alse cool)?
A: No, you cannot cook foods directly on the surface of this tray. Its sole purpose is to keep foods warm, not cook them.

Q: can you use this product to heat bottles/glasses of red wine to room temperature?
A: It is not recommended to heat bottles of wine on the tray.

Q: can you drape the warming tray with fabric such as napkins or a tablecloth?
A: No. The fabric will absorb the heat and could overheat the warming tray.

Q: what would happen if someone were to remove the internal thermostat? could it heat up enough to heat nacho cheese on chips?(yes I am obsessed with nachos!)
A: We're not entirely sure what would happen if you removed the thermostat, and we're not even sure how you'd go about doing it, but we don't recommend doing it anyway. And yes, the tray could keep your nacho cheese nice and melty.

Q: can this keep food warm enough to prevent food poisoning?
A: There are a lot of factors to consider, such as whether you keep the tray plugged in and the thermostat on, or whether you are keeping the food outside or inside. In general, once unplugged, the Cordless Warming Tray will keep foods safely heated for about 60 minutes. If you would like to keep foods out for longer than an hour, we recommend keeping the tray plugged in.
