1. It keeps track of how much money is inside so you don't have to break it open just to find out that you don't have enough to buy the new Jessica Simpson album (shucks). 2. It talks when you put money into it.

We're in love. Chrome is definitely the new pink.Note: The Pig E Bank does NOT include any lead.

Pig E Bank keeps track of your dough and talks to you!

The Pig E Bank electronic talking piggy bank is a really cool toy. The packaging says 3+. Normally, when we see an age range like that, we sort of scoff. I mean, how many toys have you seen that are marked 5+ and should really be marked: "5-7 (maaaybe on the 7, more like 5-6 max)". Our point is that this is a pretty cool item even for us old(er) folks.

For the kids, it's great because the Pig E Bank not only keeps track of how much money you've saved (via the LCD coin counter), but it also talks to you when you enter money. For youngsters just learning coin values, this is great reinforcement.

For the adults, how many of us come home each day with a little pocket full of change. Dump it in the Pig E Bank and instantly retrieve the balance by hitting the "Bal" key on the LCD coin counter. This way, when you want to order a pizza, you'll know if you can afford extra large cheese sticks. Hmmmm.

Stores dollars, too

The Pig E Bank electronic piggy bank can also accept dollars (although not through the coin acceptor). Underneath his tail (why the manufacturer put it here is beyond us), simply unscrew the cap and store money (or secrets).

Q: Is there a mute button?
A: The Pig E Bank does not have a mute button. However, if no money is deposited and no buttons are touched, it automatically turns off after about 10 seconds. Thus, the Pig E Bank only speaks when you interact with it.

Q: is there a UK virsion which can detect £s rather than $s. if not i feel you should mention this as UK sellers are selling this product without mentioning anything of GBP combatibility.
A: The Pig E Bank only recognizes US coins. We are not currently aware of a UK version.

Q: Canadian coins are very similar to American ones. Would it be safe to assume they work in the Pig E. Bank?
A: We can't guarantee that Canadian coins will work in the Pig E Bank. It has been designed to work with US coins, so you'd be using Canadian coins at your own risk. Basically, we don't recommend using the Pig E Bank with Canadian coins.

Q: Where is the Pig E Bank made? China?
A: The Pig E. Bank talking piggy bank is made in China. We have verified with the manufacturer that it is not part of any of the recent product recalls.

Q: does the pig e bank count dollar bills, too?
A: The Pig E Bank does not automatically count dollar bills when inserted. If you add a dollar bill, you will have to manually increment the counter by $1.

Q: where do you type in the promo code?
A: If you have a promo code, enter it on the cart page. Add the item to your cart and there will be a box where you can enter your promo code.

Q: What is the actual $$ amount the piggy bank holds?
A: The amount of money that the Pig E Bank talking bank could hold would depend on the types of coins and bills that you were using. The counter stops at $99.99, though.

Q: Say when you put in a quarter would it automatically add 25 cents or would you have to use the + and - buttons to add 25 cents.
A: The Pig E Bank automatically adds the proper amount to the counter when you add coins. The + and - buttons are to be used when you remove money from the bank.

Q: What is the size(dimensions) of this Pig E Bank?
A: The Pig E Bank's approximate measurements are 6" tall, 8-9" long, and 6" wide.

Q: If the batteries quit and you put new batteries in, does it remember the amount that you have in the bank already?
A: Unfortunately, no. Of course, the Pig E Bank does have a manual adjustment feature, so it's possible to take note of the total before changing the batteries and then re-adjust it once you have put in new ones.

Q: what make is this?
A: This is the Pig E. Bank Talking Piggy Bank Chrome Edition.

Q: What kind of secrets can you store under the piggy's tail?
A: You can store pretty much any kind of secret under the piggy's tail, including things like your secret love of Wayne Newton, Perry Como, and Liberace tunes.

Q: what does The Pig E Bank say?
A: The Pig E Bank says, "feed me, feed me!" And a whole lot more. Check out the video to hear all of the things the electronic talking Piggy Bank has to say.

Q: Can you drown it?
A: No, because Pigs are excellent swimmers.

Q: Could you pour piping hot gravy into the Pig E Bank?
A: If you value your talking piggy bank, we don't advise it.

Q: does this piggy bank accept euros?
A: While the Pig E Bank would likely be able to hold them, the LCD screen can only display amounts in US Dollars. We're not entirely sure what would happen if you tried other currencies.

Q: How do you remove the money ?
A: To remove money from the Pig E Bank, push its snout. That opens its mouth so that you can shake the money out.

Q: will there be a canadian version coming out anytime?
A: At this time, we're not aware of any plans to make a Canadian version of the Pig E Bank.

Q: Does it come in any other colors?
A: The Chrome Pig E Bank is the only model that we carry.

Q: Can you find it in stores?If so, which?
A: While we're sure that there are some brick and mortar retailers of the Pig E Bank, we're not aware of their names or locations.

Q: hi just wondering will this work with australian dollars or is there anywhere you could direct me to buy one in australia ?
A: The Pig E Bank is a fairly picky eater. He only gobbles on US dollars. We are not aware of any Australian cousins.

A: The Pig E Bank is quite the sophisticated electronic piggy bank. This talking bank is able to recognize U.S. coins and keeps track of the total amount deposited on its LCD screen.
