A: No. Hermit crabs like to be near water, and soap starts to dissolve when it gets wet. Would YOU want to live in a soap house?

Q: What sort of scent? I've not found seashells particularly an appealing scent so assume it is not "natural"
A: SoapShells SeaShell Soaps are scented with jasmine and a blend of other fragrances. We've listened to seashells, but we haven't spent much time smelling them! However, the SoapShells certainly don't smell like sand, fish, or saltwater.

Q: Will I be able to hear the ocean if I put the seashells by my ear?
A: We quickly researched this, and the "ocean sounds" phenomenon you get when holding a conch shell up to your ear is really just the ambient noise around you being captured and resonated inside the shell. You'll actually get a similar effect if you just cup both hands over your ear. You will not get the same effect, however, if you hold a SoapShell up to your ear, because they are solid.
