Q: that slick commercial is obviously staged. cheese would melt and accumulate near the bottom of the bag, as would the water and fat contained in chop meat causing the bag to burst open, so unless this bag defies the laws of gravity and conservation of heat, I suggest you post a more realistic demonstration.
A: The cheese does not accumulate near the bottom of the bag. Friction between the cheese and the bread as well as the stickiness of the cheese prevents this. Also, because the bag is open at the top, there is no fear of "bursting".

Q: When I hold my grilled cheese sandwich upright to eat it, the cheese seems to run out of the bottom. Does the same happen when cooking a grilled cheese sandwich upright?
