Science-fiction is defined by genius villains who are so consumed with “what if” that they fail to consider “what should.” We can only assume it was with a similarly mad curiosity that Hot Dog Soda was born.

Like the infamous liquid it's based on, Hot Dog Soda is almost clear and has a taste that is lightly accented mystery with meat flavor. The real sugar in every sip makes it surprisingly drinkable, provided you don't think too hard about what it's supposed to be.

While we can't confirm how close it comes to the genuine article, it does come as close to what we imagine hot dog water would taste like, if hot dog water was a sweet carbonated beverage and not the byproduct of the world's most dubious sausage.

Who knows, it’s possible you'll like the pop so much you'll be inspired to try the real thing. But if you want our advice, stick to this weirdly enjoyable soda, and leave that question for the scientists who are truly mad.
