The standard black tape dispenser is so boring. Yes, it's functional in terms of dispensing tape, but so is a brown sack in terms of covering your body. But, neither are very fun or exciting. Enter the Snail Tape Dispenser. It's fun, colorful, and functional (but only for dispensing tape, not as part of your wardrobe).

The Snail Tape Dispenser holds up to 3/4" tape (the most common size). It can hold 1/2" tape as well. Please note that tape is not included with your purchase.

Does the snail work with masking tape as well as clear tape?

The Snail Tape Dispenser was not designed for use with masking tape. It might work, but that would partly depend on the size and width of the roll of tape.

what is it made of?

The Snail Tape Dispenser is made of a plastic and rubber (non-skid) combination.

In the background of one of the pictures, there is a crocodile stapler. Do you sell that as well?

Yes we do! It's called the Gator Stapler and it's awesome.

does it come with slime? I WANT SLIME!!!!

Because its a snail, do I have to pull the tape out realllly slow?

Nope, the base is weighted so it stays steady while you pull the tape out.

How do you load the tape into it? A regular tape dispenser has a drop and slide forward set-up so that the tape doesn't jump out when trying to take a piece of tape.

The wheel "clips" down inside to hold it in place (you'll feel the wheel catch as you push it down) and lifts up so you can remove it and load the tape.

Is the tape included?

No, tape is not included.

If I dropped it will it break?

It's possible. His eyes are fairly thin, so they could break off if you start throwing your tape dispenser around.

How long till its video?

What happens when a snail gets salt on them?

Unlike a real snail, the Snail Tape Dispenser will not shrivel and die if you pour salt on it.

What are the eyes made out of, and this has nothing to do with this but will you get the pacman stapler back in?

The eyes are shiny plastic balls. We don't have a date for the Stap-Man, but you can sign up to be notified as soon as we have more in.

Could you make one that looks like Gary from Spongebob Square-pants?

We aren't the manufacturer so we aren't able to make any changes to the product ourselves, but you're more than welcome to paint it however you like!

Does scotch tape work with this?

Absolutely!

I noticed in some pictures the snail's body looks glossy but in others it looks matte. Could you tell me which it is?

Matte. I don't think it looks glossy in any of the photos, personally.

No, the Snail Tape Dispenser does not break easily. It is made of plastic, but it's stable and with normal use should not break.

Can you open the shell of the snail and insert more tape?

Of course! We wouldn't sell a tape dispenser that you couldn't refill. In fact, I can't think of why anyone would even make a tape dispenser that you couldn't refill.

Not all of them. In fact, the Snail Tape Dispenser is one of those that does not include tape.
