Does this have to be placed in the freezer to make it cold prior to use?
No. In fact, you wouldn't want to do that. The point of the Thermos Soda Can Insulator is to keep an already cold drink cold. The double-walled insulation ensures your hands don't freeze, but your drink stays chilly.
What materials can insulate water,pop,beer etc. other than styrofoam thermal stuff and plastics? I have been wondering this for a while.. Thanks a bunch!

Both the exterior and interior walls of the Thermos Soda Can Insulator are made of super-strong stainless steel.
Could you use it with a bottle of water?
The Thermos Can Insulator is really made for soda and beer cans, but you might be able to fit a water bottle in it. Water bottle sizes vary greatly between manufacturers, so we can't give a definite "yes" or "no".

The Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator is made for standard soda and beer cans. So, as long as the Michelob Ultra can is the standard size (and we think it is), the koozies you see here will work just fine.

There is a minimal amount of space between the walls. I'm afraid we do not have an exact measurement available.
Can I use this with monster or other energy drinks in big cans?
The Thermos Stainless Steel Koozie is meant for standard 12-oz soda and beer cans. I'm pretty sure most energy drinks like Monster and Red Bull come in skinnier cans. For reference, the mouth of the koozie is about 2.5" in diameter, and the inside height is 4.3".
Does it work for beer?
Of course! The Koozies don't really care what is inside the can.

Very funny! Dropping the Stainless Steel Koozie won't dent it, but it might scuff it a little. These things are incredibly durable!

I've been using these for 3+yrs. There is absolutley nothing that compares. Icey cold for all of 3 hrs & more. I will never be without a backup or 2. Bad thing is when I have visitors, the koozies grow leggs & somehow vanish! Tracking device??????

Hello, I like the 10 oz. plastic Pepsi bottles, will this product work?
Unfortunately, I do not have a 10oz Pepsi bottle here to test. The diameter of the Thermos Stainless Steel Koozie is 2.5". If the bottle is larger or smaller than that, then it won't fit well.

It's an infrared thermometer. You can buy them from most hardware stores.

For the best results, your can needs to fit snugly in the insulator. The mouth of the insulator is 2.5" in diameter, and the inside height is 4.3".
You describe the stainless steel can holder as having "vacuum insulation." I don't think stainless steel could be fabricated with an interior vacuum. Thermos brand vacuum bottles always use glass as the material which preserves the vacuum.

Will a glass beer bottle fit or only a beer can?
Probably not unless the glass has the exact same dimensions as a beer can.
Can this be used with a small (aka "tall") size cup of Starbucks coffee? In other words slip a small paper cup of Starbucks coffee in it?
Unfortunately I do not have access to a Starbucks cup, but since most cups flare outwards towards the top I'm going to have to say no. The wall of the Koozie and the wall of a can are perfectly parallel to one another.
How do I clean it?
The koozies are dishwasher safe, however the rubber ring around the top can melt if the water is too hot. We would recommend putting the koozie on the top rack to prevent melting.

The Thermos Soda Koozie is stainless steel, so it CAN be dented, but it would take a significant amount of deliberate force to do so. Simply dropping it should not dent it.

No, it is not. The heat in the dishwasher could damage the rubber ring around the top of the insulator.

You would need a different Thermos container for that. There are drinks other than soda which are served in cans.

You can find those online or even at your local hardware store.
How do you remove the Genuine Thermos Brand label from the stainless steel can koozie. I started to remove one and it looks like it will be extremely difficult to remove and get off completely including the glue, etc. Why is the label hard to remove?
Because it were easy to remove it would begin to fade and wear off after only a few washes. For most people this would look incredibly bad, so they made the design as tough as possible. To put it simply, it wasn't intended to come off at all.

They do not. They're essentially koozies, only these are made from stainless steel and feature a vacuum wall for insulation.

No, the "I Am Not a Paper Cup" will not fit in the stainless steel koozie. However, the IANAPC is insulated itself, so it doesn't necessarily need the koozie.

The only diameter measurement I could find for a Coca Cola glass bottle is 2.25". The opening of the Thermos Soda Can Insulator is 2.5", so the bottle should fit, although not snuggly like a can would.

You can put them in the freezer, but they would be ridiculously cold and hard to hold when you remove them. For this reason, we don't recommend freezing them. Your poor hand would be in pain!

It's called an infrared thermometer. 51°F is about 10°C, and 68°F is about 20°C. A quick way to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius is with this equation: (°F - 32) x 5/9 = °C

No, because there's a bottom to the insulator. Not unless you hold it upside down and shake it would the can fall out.

There isn't a hole in the bottom of these can holders, so technically you could pour a drink into it and drink from it.

Most soda and beer cans in the US are 12 ounces (355ml). I cannot say for sure whether the cans in Australia will fit properly or not.

No, the Thermos Soda Can Insulators do not come with a shoulder strap.

The Thermos Can Insulator is 4.6" tall, 2.8" wide at the top, and 2.4" wide at its base. The mouth of the insulator is 2.5" and the inside height is 4.3". It weighs about 5 ounces.
At 1:00 the laser only points at the "flip" on the soda can, that doesn't seem very reliable, as i would expect it too keep the soda itself cool and not just the can :) Why is that?
It's difficult to see, but the laser did eventually make its way into the mouth of the can, which is where the final reading was taken.
How much does each insulator weigh?
Each Soda Can Insulator weights about 5.4 ounces.
As far as the beer bottle. I use a woman's rubber hair band around a bottle and put it in the can. Works awesome. Rubber o-ring works also.

Hi there, I'm from Singapore, and I have been using these THERMAX / THERMOS can holders for at least 10 years or more. Qn : do these lose their cooling capacity over time?
It's possible that normal wear and tear after that many years can wear down the seal a bit and prevent the holders from insulating as well as they did the day you bought them. Improper care as far as how you wash them could also cause the seal to break. But as I'm sure you've experienced, the Thermos Can Insulator is a solid product. Not many things last you 10+ years!
I have one of these, and its by far the best can holder I've ever owned. Somehow I've lost the black rubber boot that seals around the can. Can I order a replacement rubber boot for this can holder?
