Does this have to be placed in the freezer to make it cold prior to use?
No. In fact, you wouldn't want to do that. The point of the Thermos Soda Can Insulator is to keep an already cold drink cold. The double-walled insulation ensures your hands don't freeze, but your drink stays chilly.
What materials can insulate water, pop, beer etc. other than styrofoam thermal stuff and plastics? I have been wondering this for a while.. Thanks a bunch!
These Thermos Can Insulators are made from double-walled stainless steel, and they do an amazing job of insulating drinks.
which material is used to make outer case
Both the exterior and interior walls of the Thermos Soda Can Insulator are made of super-strong stainless steel.
Could you use it with a bottle of water?
The Thermos Can Insulator is really made for soda and beer cans, but you might be able to fit a water bottle in it. Water bottle sizes vary greatly between manufacturers, so we can't give a definite "yes" or "no".
I already have a set of the Thermos koozies & love them. I want to give them as gifts, where can I buy them? What stores sell them? Thanks
Unfortunately, we're not aware of any brick and mortar stores that sell these stainless steel koozies.
Can I find one with out the black top
Sorry, but we only carry one style at this time.
Do you have a koozie that fits a michilob ultra can
The Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator is made for standard soda and beer cans. So, as long as the Michelob Ultra can is the standard size (and we think it is), the koozies you see here will work just fine.
I would like to purchase this product. There is also a 360 lid that goes with it, do you have this part as well.
George
Sorry, but the Thermos Soda Can Insulators do not come with a lid.
I buy 6 at a time !!! We have a permanent campsite and EVERYONE gets one for there birthday!!! They are awesome!!!!
That's awesome! Thank you so much for your business!
Which is the distance between both shells? I mean the thickness of the vacuum layer?
There is a minimal amount of space between the walls. I'm afraid we do not have an exact measurement available.
Can I use this with monster or other energy drinks in big cans?
The Thermos Stainless Steel Koozie is meant for standard 12-oz soda and beer cans. I'm pretty sure most energy drinks like Monster and Red Bull come in skinnier cans. For reference, the mouth of the koozie is about 2.5" in diameter, and the inside height is 4.3".
Does it work for beer?
Of course! The Koozies don't really care what is inside the can.
How long until it gets to room temp
The TherMax Vacuum Insulation means that your drink stays colder 10 times longer than in a bare can. This means that from the time you open your drink and put it into your Thermos Stainless Steel can holder, you've got 3 hours of cool refreshment.
They do keep hot drinks hot also--right?
You bet! These stainless steel Thermoses use the patented TherMax vacuum insulation system which guarantees the hottest hots and the coldest colds.
I'm looking for this same product by Thermos, but the one that holds a 12 oz bottle of beer. Can you get it?
Unfortunately that model was discontinued by the manufacturer.
Do you still make and sell the one for bottles
We do not. Sorry!
Do the stainless steel koozie's come in a larger size to hold a 16 ounce can of beer?
Sorry, but the only size we have available is the one listed at the top of the page.
At what retail store can I buy them?
Right here at Vat19.com!
can you make this available as a single item and not a 2 pack?
The can insulators are no longer available in 2-packs and are only sold individually
do they come in stainless steel bottle holders?
The Thermos Can Holder is only available in the can shape you see here. The bottle style was discontinued by Thermos.
Here is a relevant joke: "You're so cool, ice cubes are jealous."
Anyway, the question is:
How durable is it? If I drop it on a concrete floor, will it dent?
Very funny! Dropping the Stainless Steel Koozie won't dent it, but it might scuff it a little. These things are incredibly durable!
Does it have a lid?
No, it does not.
Do carry the Thermos/Nissan "Bottle Insulator"? It is similar to the above can holder but has a sleeve that covers the neck of the bottle. Please advise.
I'm sorry, but we do not carry this item.
how to get a new sleeve for my thermos Koozie the rubber ring was lost .. can not find it.. can it be replaced?
Unfortunately we do not have replacement parts for the Thermos Soda Can Insulator. Please call the Thermos consumer line directly at 800-831-9242, and they should be able to help you.
I've been using these for 3+yrs. There is absolutley nothing that compares. Icey cold for all of 3 hrs & more. I will never be without a backup or 2. Bad thing is when I have visitors, the koozies grow leggs & somehow vanish! Tracking device??????
We're glad to hear you love the Thermos Can Insulators. We don't have koozie tracking devices, but that isn't a bad idea since these are so awesome and people might "accidentally" take one with them!
Is there a piece that can be added to make this fit a bottle?
Unfortunately, no.
Can you imprint the thermos koozie with company logos?
Possibly, however we cannot since we do not offer any imprinting services.
Hello, I like the 10 oz. plastic Pepsi bottles, will this product work?
Unfortunately, I do not have a 10oz Pepsi bottle here to test. The diameter of the Thermos Stainless Steel Koozie is 2.5". If the bottle is larger or smaller than that, then it won't fit well.
Where did you get the thing to measure the temp in the video? Because I want to show people what you did.
It's an infrared thermometer. You can buy them from most hardware stores.
How long will it keep the drinks cold?
Donna's been using one for years now and it can keep her drinks cold for most of the work day!
Will it break if its ran over by a tank?
Yes, but so would a Buick.
can you pour a drink in the thermos stainless steel can insulater and drink out of it and also is it dishwasher safe?
It is dishwasher safe and I suppose you can drink out of it like a cup, but the Thermos Stainless Steel Koozie was not designed to be used that way.
Can you engrave something on them if i wanted to want it a wedding gift?
We do not offer any sort of customization services, but there are plenty of 3rd party companies who would be able to help you.
Unbreakable you say? what if i dropped a Party Bear on one?
The Party Bear probably wouldn't cause any serious damage. These babies are tough!
How long will the Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator keep the drink cold?
The TherMaxr Vacuum Insulation means that your drink stays colder 10 times longer than in a bare can. This means that from the time you open your drink and put it into your Thermos Stainless Steel can holder, you've got 3 hours of cool refreshment.
do you sell the thermos long neck kooize?
No, the bottle version was discontinued.
can this thermos fit a tall can? i don't care if the top part of the can sticks out
For the best results, your can needs to fit snugly in the insulator. The mouth of the insulator is 2.5" in diameter, and the inside height is 4.3".
You describe the stainless steel can holder as having "vacuum insulation." I don't think stainless steel could be fabricated with an interior vacuum. Thermos brand vacuum bottles always use glass as the material which preserves the vacuum.
Thermos uses its TherMax technology to create an airless vacuum space between two stainless steel walls. This virtually eliminates temperature change, keeping your drinks cold.
DO YOU HAVE THE BOLLLE KOOZIE BY THERMOS
No.
Can it keep cans hot too?
We're not sure why you'd want to drink hot soda or beer, but sure, it'll help keep it warm.
we bought one. Best idea ever. Vat19, keep up the work. OUR FAMILY LOVES YOU (Especially my son, he loves that putty you sell.)
That's awesome! Thank you for your business!
Will a glass beer bottle fit or only a beer can?
Probably not unless the glass has the exact same dimensions as a beer can.
Can this be used with a small (aka "tall") size cup of Starbucks coffee? In other words slip a small paper cup of Starbucks coffee in it?
Unfortunately I do not have access to a Starbucks cup, but since most cups flare outwards towards the top I'm going to have to say no. The wall of the Koozie and the wall of a can are perfectly parallel to one another.
How do I clean it?
The koozies are dishwasher safe, however the rubber ring around the top can melt if the water is too hot. We would recommend putting the koozie on the top rack to prevent melting.
Is this made from Thermos?
Yes!
Will this work to keep drinks hot?
Theoretically, but I can't think of any hot drinks that come in a can.
Do they come with a handle i have a special needs child can in holder but needs handle
They do not. Sorry!
Will it fit the 20 oz plastic soda ones too?
Unfortunately, they will not fit soda bottles. They were designed specifically for cans.
Will the koozie dent?
The Thermos Soda Koozie is stainless steel, so it CAN be dented, but it would take a significant amount of deliberate force to do so. Simply dropping it should not dent it.
Will the thermos rust?
The Stainless Steel Soda Koozie will not rust.
Can I only buy one of the Thermos Soda Can Insulators?
The can insulators are no longer available in 2-packs and are only sold individually.
Do you have similar product for bottles.
No, we do not have a Stainless Steel Thermos Koozie for bottles. That style was discontinued by Thermos a few years ago.
can I have one engraved
Vat19 does not offer this service, but you could probably find a company that would be able to do this for you.
Is it dishwasher safe?
No, it is not. The heat in the dishwasher could damage the rubber ring around the top of the insulator.
What if I don't happen to like soda? Could I pour juice directly into the empty Thermos to keep it cold?
You would need a different Thermos container for that. There are drinks other than soda which are served in cans.
Can we put drinks straight into the Insulator? Btw you guys are awesome!
You can, but it would be messy and kind of defeat the purpose of the insulator.
Where did you get the "laser" thermometer in the video?
You can find those online or even at your local hardware store.
How do you remove the Genuine Thermos Brand label from the stainless steel can koozie. I started to remove one and it looks like it will be extremely difficult to remove and get off completely including the glue, etc. Why is the label hard to remove?
Because it were easy to remove it would begin to fade and wear off after only a few washes. For most people this would look incredibly bad, so they made the design as tough as possible. To put it simply, it wasn't intended to come off at all.
How would a person be able to get a coupon code?
I saw on the check out section they had a place for a code. Thank you.
If you'd like to receive our coupons you can do so by signing up for our
email newsletter.
Do you sell the converter cap for these?
We're sorry but we do not sell any additional accessories.
Do you need to put it the freezer?
Nope! The vacuum in the walls of the koozie is all you need to keep your drinks cold.
Can you get this Koozie in the slim can holder since some beers are 12oz but just are slimmer in diameter?
We're sorry, but the Stainless Steel Soda Koozie is only available in one size.
what about shipping cost
The shipping cost varies depending on the method you choose. You can get a shipping quote by clicking on the "Calculate Shipping" link on the product page.
What is the weight of this product?
Each Koozie weighs approximately 5.3 ounces.
Can you also put in 0,5 liter cans and keep them cold for longer?
You can put in any can you want as long as it fits inside the Koozie.
Can you do bulk orders, ie. for corporate gifts? with laser etching?
We do offer bulk purchasing, the info for which can be located
here, but we do not offer any kind of customization.
My son lost the top gasket for his koozie holder, can i purchase the top only (maybe two or three)?
I'm sorry, but we do not sell individual pieces.
We have 1 & love it. Haven't been able to find them since the store we got them from stopped selling them (we lost 1). Do yours come with lids?
They do not. They're essentially koozies, only these are made from stainless steel and feature a vacuum wall for insulation.
Should we put the thermos in the refrigerator and than put the soda in so it's cooler?
You can if you like but it's not at all necessary.
Would it still work if you poured a drink in the insulator?
Yes, but it would just make an unnecessary mess.
Are these customizable & do you customize them?
We do not. Sorry!
Do you have to freeze before you can use?
Nope. Simply slide your can in the koozie and you're good to go!
Can you pore a drink into it and drink out of it like a cup?
I suppose you can, but the Thermos Stainless Steel Koozie was not designed to be used that way.
Does this work with the "I am not a paper Cup"?
No, the
"I Am Not a Paper Cup" will not fit in the stainless steel koozie. However, the IANAPC is insulated itself, so it doesn't necessarily need the koozie.
do you have these for a beer bottle? Bought 2 at target 4 yrs. ago, can't find any anywhere. Would very much like to have more thank you.
Unfortunately, the beer bottle koozies have been discontinued by Thermos.
do you have the beer bottle koozies made by Thermos?
No, Vat19 only sells the Thermos Soda Can Insulators that you see on this page. The beer bottle shaped ones have been discontinued.
what materials were used to build this
The Thermos Soda Can Insulators are made of stainless steel.
can this product keep other beverages such as melted ice cream or water being cool?
As long as the drink you have in mind is in a can, the Stainless Steel Koozie will work perfectly.
Does it fit an australian sized can?
You'll need to be a little more specific. The Thermos Stainless Steel Koozies were designed specifically for traditional 12 oz cans.
Anyway to get free shipping?
We only offer free shipping on orders over $125 that are being shipped within the United States. You can sign up for our
email newsletter to receive coupons that will help with shipping as well.
I've had these for years, several with covers with holes around the outside diameter for sipping coffee. Can I still get covers for the koozies?
I'm sorry but we do not sell covers for the Thermos Can Koozies.
Is it hard to get the can out of it?
Nope! Just lift the can and it will slide right out.
In one answer you say the koozie isn't dishwasher safe and in another you say it is... which is it?
We'll clear those up. The koozies are dishwasher safe, however the rubber ring around the top can melt if the water is too hot. We would recommend putting the koozie on the top rack to prevent melting.
Can it fit energy drinks?
Maybe not all of them, but there are cans of energy drink that are the same diameter as regular soda cans.
Just want to support this kooze, my brother in law gave me one for x-mas 5 years ago and my wife tells me its like a stuffed animal for a kid, I won't go anywhere without it, so Im buying two more. My sisters new husband also wants one now AAAA+++
Wow, that's really great to hear! That's so awesome that you've gotten so many years of use out of your Thermos Stainless Steel Koozie.
This product is awesome but here in Sweden we have got 11.4 fl oz (330 ml) cans but would it work on them too?
Your cans probably wouldn't fit very well since they're a bit smaller than the US standard.
Can you personalize it?
Sorry, but we do not offer personalization services.
can u tell me if the glass coca cola bottles will fit in these coozies?
The only diameter measurement I could find for a Coca Cola glass bottle is 2.25". The opening of the Thermos Soda Can Insulator is 2.5", so the bottle should fit, although not snuggly like a can would.
These look like the perfect koozies for cans. I am going to order a set. Are these made for bottles? Some of my friends gotta have their micro-brews!
These are the best can koozies your money can buy. Unfortunately, the bottle versions were discontinued.
Would it hurt them to put in the freezer.
You can put them in the freezer, but they would be ridiculously cold and hard to hold when you remove them. For this reason, we don't recommend freezing them. Your poor hand would be in pain!
Do they float?
No, they do not float.
these thermos koozies look fantastic can you please tell me all the materials you used to create them. i really need it for a science project thanks for your cooperation
Both the exterior and interior walls of the Thermos Soda Can Insulators are made of stainless steel, making them virtually unbreakable. The ring around the top and the foot at the bottom are rubber.
what are the dimensions?
The mouth of the koozie is about 2.5" in diameter, and the inside height is 4.3".
I have one I have had for some time, it came with a top for drinking coffee or anything hot or cold. I don't see it offered on this web page.
This is a can koozie, not an actual thermos, so there is no lid available or necessary.
what are thermos made of ?
These can insulators are made of stainless steel. The top lip and the bottom of the insulator are rubber.
I have to say that I give Vat19 an A+ just for putting up with these questions that I've read! Also have to put my two cents in for product endorsement because I have a bunch and looking to buy more!
Awesome, we'd be glad to send more to you! And thanks for the stellar grade!
what is the size of the opening? I'd like to be able to insert a glass in it.
The opening on the Thermos Stainless Steel Can Insulator is 2.625".
Wow! What a neat idea. You video shows the coozie keeping a Coca-cola cold. I like Pepsi, will it work with Pepsi also? What about Dr. Pepper and Orange Crush, I like those also.
The Stainless Steel Soda Koozie will keep any canned beverage nice and cool!
Where can one purchase these in the UK ?
Unfortunately I am not aware of specific stores in the UK that carry this item. We can ship to the UK, though.
Does it work with other cups/ drinks like the "plastic" cups or water bottles? *wink wink
No. These koozies were designed specifically for cans.
Would this fit in a Hyundai Santa Fe's rear cup holders?
I don't have one to test with, I'm afraid. If they don't you can always send them back to us for a refund.
I know it's a little off-topic, but what is the 'laser' thermometer in the video called? and can you translate the degrees to celsius?
It's called an infrared thermometer. 51°F is about 10°C, and 68°F is about 20°C. A quick way to convert Fahrenheit to Celsius is with this equation: (°F - 32) x 5/9 = °C
Is it liscened by Thermos?
Yes, it is.
I love my can koozie but what happened to the thermos bottle koozie? My friend has one and I can't find them.
Unfortunately the insulator for bottles was discontinued by the manufacturer.
I see in another comment cans in the US are 355ml. Cans in England are 330ml, will they fit in the insulator?
The Thermos Can Insulator was designed for 12 fl oz cans. Unfortunately, it hasn't been tested with a European can, so I cannot say for sure whether or not one will fit.
Will your can fall out and if not....why?
No, because there's a bottom to the insulator. Not unless you hold it upside down and shake it would the can fall out.
does it come with soda?
No, beverages are not included.
Is there any discount for quantities and is there option to add logo or company name. If so, what is the setup charge
Unfortunately we are not able to customize or imprint the Stainless Steel Can Insulator. However, we do offer discounts on bulk orders. Please check out our
bulk discount page for more info.
2 pack item. Does each thermos has its own box or packaging?
The can insulators are no longer available in 2-packs and are only sold individually.
I am from AZ. The hottest state. Will there ever be a time that they will sell these in stores in our state?
Unfortunately, we are not sure of any specific stores in Arizona that carry the Thermos Soda Can Insulators. But we can certainly ship them to you! Trust us, you'll love them.
Can the outside be engraved??
Yes, the Thermos Soda Can Insulators can be engraved. However, we do not provide this service.
can you just put the drink in it with no can?
There isn't a hole in the bottom of these can holders, so technically you could pour a drink into it and drink from it.
Can you use a 375 ml can of soda because that is the only type of can in australia. p.s how many ounces=375 ml
Most soda and beer cans in the US are 12 ounces (355ml). I cannot say for sure whether the cans in Australia will fit properly or not.
If I shoot it and it breaks will I get my money back?
I'm sorry, but if you intentionally destroy your Koozie you're just out of luck.
Will european cans (330 ml) fit into the insulator or is it exclusively designed for 12 fl oz cans?
The Thermos Can Insulator was designed for 12 fl oz cans. Unfortunately, it hasn't been tested with a European can, so I cannot say for sure whether or not one will fit.
Does it have straps to hold over shoulder?
No, the Thermos Soda Can Insulators do not come with a shoulder strap.
what are the dimensions and how mush does it weight?
The Thermos Can Insulator is 4.6" tall, 2.8" wide at the top, and 2.4" wide at its base. The mouth of the insulator is 2.5" and the inside height is 4.3". It weighs about 5 ounces.
At 1:00 the laser only points at the "flip" on the soda can, that doesn't seem very reliable, as i would expect it too keep the soda itself cool and not just the can :) Why is that?
It's difficult to see, but the laser did eventually make its way into the mouth of the can, which is where the final reading was taken.
How much does each insulator weigh?
Each Soda Can Insulator weights about 5.4 ounces.
As far as the beer bottle. I use a woman's rubber hair band around a bottle and put it in the can. Works awesome. Rubber o-ring works also.
Think outside the box sometime.
Thanks for the tips! We'll have to try that out sometime.
I have a comment. My friend got one of these as a gift and they are THE BEST. The soda even stayed cold after being left in a hot car here in Florida summer for at least an hour. Get them!!!
Thanks for the endorsement! We agree, the Thermos Soda Can Insulators are amazing.
Hi there, I'm from Singapore, and I have been using these THERMAX / THERMOS can holders for at least 10 years or more. Qn : do these lose their cooling capacity over time?
It's possible that normal wear and tear after that many years can wear down the seal a bit and prevent the holders from insulating as well as they did the day you bought them. Improper care as far as how you wash them could also cause the seal to break. But as I'm sure you've experienced, the Thermos Can Insulator is a solid product. Not many things last you 10+ years!
I have one of these, and its by far the best can holder I've ever owned. Somehow I've lost the black rubber boot that seals around the can. Can I order a replacement rubber boot for this can holder?
Unfortunately we do not have replacement parts for the Thermos Soda Can Insulator. Please call the Thermos consumer line directly at 800-831-9242, and they should be able to help you.
can we buy these at retail stores?
We don't know where, but there might be a physical store that sells the Thermos Can Insulators. We suggest you buy them right here from good ol' Vat19.
