Overview
The Inkless Metal Beta Pen features a special metal alloy tip. As you write, tiny amounts of this metal are deposited onto the page. The silvery markings may resemble pencil, but they are permanent.
Because it doesn't require sharpening or refills, the Inkless Metal Pen is an amazing gift for artists or doodlers. Its "ink" is solid, so it will never leak, and it can be used upside down or under extreme conditions.
The Inkless Metal Pen works on most any writing surface and is available in two styles: standard and keychain. The standard version is available with an anodized aluminum barrel (in silver or black) or a cherry wood barrel. The keychain version features a stainless steel barrel with screw-on cap, a keyring, and a metal gift tin.

The Inkless Metal Pen is an awesome (non-radioactive) hybrid of pens and pencils. It has an endless supply of "ink", never needs to be sharpened, and cannot smudge or leak.
The metal tip of the Inkless Metal Pen will last a lifetime because only tiny amounts of the alloy are actually transferred to the page when you write. This also means it will never go dull. However, should you wish for a finer point, you can "sharpen" your Inkless Metal Pen by rubbing it with sandpaper.

No leaking and never needs a refill
Ink is a liquid and is therefore susceptible to leaking and drying out. The Inkless Metal Pen doesn't have these problems. Its solid metal alloy tip means that this pen will never run out of ink or dry up.
It also doesn't need a cap (which we all lose anyway). However, the keychain version does come with a cap because frankly, no one wants a pen tip poking around in their pocket.
Like our Space Pen and .375 Bullet Pen, the Inkless Metal Pen can write upside down (unlike normal pens whose ink flows away from the tip when held at extreme angles).

Works in extreme conditions and on most surfaces
Due to its solid metal tip, the Inkless Metal Pen can work in conditions where a normal pen would seize up. Even in extreme temperatures or wet conditions, the Metal Pen shines.
Note: The Inkless Metal Pen can write on nearly any normal writing surface. The only surfaces that our testing has shown issues are on newsprint and cardboard. The pen will write on these surfaces, but it can be difficult to see from some angles.
However, the Inkless Metal Pen works flawlessly on all standard matte papers and on most glossy stocks.

Tough, rust-proof barrel
The 6.25" long standard Inkless Metal Pen (in silver or black) features an anodized aluminum barrel to make it just that much more awesome (and resistant to corrosion). Obviously, the cherry wood version is inherently rust-resistant.

Frequently Asked Questions
Question: It must run out eventually, right?
Answer: Yes, the laws of physics demand that if you're transferring material from the tip of the pen to the paper that eventually you'll run out. However, the amount you use while writing is so tiny that the Inkless Metal Pen will last a lifetime.
Question: You said that it never goes dull, but you also mention "sharpening" it. What gives?
Answer: The Inkless Metal Pen won't dull like a typical pencil due to the fact that only minuscule amounts of material transfers from the tip to the paper. However, if you wished for a finer point, you could use some sandpaper to "sharpen" the tip.
Question: Is it difficult to use seeing as the tip is metal?
Answer: Not at all. It doesn't require that you hold it or use it in any specific manner. It'll work with any writing style. You may notice a tiny bit more friction than a pencil, though.
Question: Will it mark on skin or clothes?
Answer: The Inkless Metal Pen does not mark on skin. We haven't tested every type of fabric, but we have yet to find a piece of clothing that you can mark with the Inkless Metal Pen.
