Forget Apple—the real future of phone technology is banana. Banana Phone uses Bluetooth to connect to your smartphone for an irresistibly silly smartphone accessory.

Once your Banana Phone is paired with your (boring) smartphone, use voice commands to call anyone in your contact list or use the Banana’s push button to accept and reject incoming calls.

The speaker and microphone let you clearly converse (assuming you can do it with a straight face) while the USB-rechargeable battery lets you talk for up to 10 hours. And you’ll get a lot of great looks from people in 10 hours.

Banana Phone is nothing short of ridiculous… and that’s why we love it.

Bluetooth banana

In our texting-crazed world, most people could probably use a little more conversation in their lives. And everyone could definitely use a little more fun. The Banana Phone is a silly smartphone accessory that lets you feel like you’re talking through a piece of fruit.

Our testing has found that 1) our conversations come through clearly on the device (no spotty reception) and 2) it’s hard to take yourself seriously when talking into a banana—which is a good thing.

As much fun as you’ll get out of using Banana Phone, the real joy is seeing how other people react to it. Keep a straight face at the office using the funny phone on a business call, peel it out for a quick chat in a public place, or revel in the confusion of your family member’s face when you hand them a piece of fruit to talk into.

This ish is bananas.

Peel and pair

Although the Banana Phone looks ridiculous, it functions just like a normal Bluetooth headset. It’s set up like a traditional phone with a speaker near the stem and a microphone near the whatever that nub on the bottom is called. With only three buttons on its body, the design is both a good imitation of the yellow fruit and easy to use.

Press the two volume buttons to adjust the speaker and ringer levels, and use the center multi-function button to turn on the Banana Phone, pair it with your smartphone, operate voice commands, answer calls, and reject calls. The naner pairs easily with your smartphone, and the included Micro USB cord keeps it charged.

Easy Bluetooth pairing and voice dialing.
